The M221(if memory serves me right) tractors are pretty rare. If it runs and drives I would easily throw a $900 offer on it. Of course it would be worth more if it isn't a rusted out bent up pile, but it never hurts to start out low and work your way up on the price.
He sells for a guy named Bernie who has tons of MV stuff. I've had bad experience with him also and a long dragged out mess with a shipment that came without any brake shoes and instead speaker parts. He accused me of putting the stuff into the box and trying to screw him. That was after i've...
Not too bad. I always put a rag on the inj. pump to catch some that will spill. Make sure to let your truck sit for about an hour to let the oil drain back to the crankcase. If you run the truck and pull the cannisters off right away, you will get about 4 qts of oil dumping out. Other than...
If anyone needs some SEE parts, I have a brand new military rebuilt alternator, some brake pads, fuses, and other misc service items for the SEE that I would like to sell to get some money for my M29 Weasel project.
My set includes the 2 oil filters, 2 secondary fuel, primary fuel, and the correct gaskets. Only thing it doesn't have is the small gasket for the top of the cannister. I always reuse that gasket myself. my cell is 605-661-2051. You can also email me at troykluthe@hotmail.com. Email is...
Karl,
LOL, I don't even have everything up on SS because my signature is getting too long. I'm at about 34 vehicles now. Somedays I wonder myself when it will end. Dragonman, I will get you all the specs on the chains when I get home in a week.
Oh, then it shouldn't be a problem for you. If you do, just don't exceed 2500 RPM, I am probably going to do it to mine, but i'm shooting for 2300-2400 RPM max.
You can shim the fuel pump on these, but the rule is not to exceed 2500 RPM. That info comes from the main section of a 915a1 unit that deployed. That is what the cummins dealer told them to do and it worked without damage.
I hope this isn't the guy from nebraska again? I think chadron if I remember correctly. I had to fix a truck a customer supplied me with that he worked on. Same crappy paint job and he didn't do a thing to it. The wheel bearings were also rusted up and the truck was a pile. Ellsworth has...
I want to first take the time to thank John Trumpe and his family for helping on the recovery and being such a great friend. This hobby definately is great because of other OD addicts and the friendships that result. Maccus, I hope you will forgive me for being in your neck of the woods and...
I use a brass drift in the military in a circular motion to install them as the others mentioned. Removing them with a pry bar is one of the best methods i've found.
