You might be able to use the short line like a broker where you go to them say I have this it needs to go from here to there and they could put it on one of the big guys. Like here in maryland we have the Maryland Mid-Land short line and CSX moves their cars I see them all the time its worth a...
Yeah your big class one railroads: CSX, NS, UP, BNSF, CN aren't interested in moving one car without charging you a bunch of moola these big railroads are interested in "unit trains" point A to point B with no stops and switching in route. Shortlines have taken over much of the class one...
I work for CSX as a track foreman in the track department as far as I know I've never seen "personal military or civilian trucks" on flats I've seen quite a few MRAPS and some M88 recovery vehicles never saw any military vehicles with graffitti on them however all the other box cars etc. Have...
I had to replace my steel lines that run from the box to the ram due to them being rusted through when I installed the new lines I bent up I simply connected them to the box and the ram filled the resovoir with power steering fluid from the local napa, started the truck and had the wifey turn...
Im not sure as to the proper procedure but I would unhook the return line from the power steering pump and place it in a jug start the truck and have one person turn the wheel back and forth while you pour new power steering fluid in the resovior once the return line appears to be pumping new...
You may also want to replace your power steering fluid if some one had put anything other than power steering or hydraulic oil (engine oil will foam really bad) in the system it could be foaming up and causing your leak
Im no equipment expert but by looking at those axles the hubs remind me of the type of axles found on big front end loaders looks like it wasn't designed for speed:lost:
See my avatar 1981 M813A1 W/W plan on keeping her stock she's no prom queen but with a little help from a wire wheel and some rustoleum she'll be a runner up.
Type of top also matters hard tops are much quieter than rag tops m818 had a hard top and really wasn't bad still wore ear plugs my 813a1 has a rag top and is much louder ear plugs are a must believe it or not its mainly the fan which causes all the noise rolling down the highway.8)
Agreed both should be shown in schools regardless of their traffic nature kids need to see what really happens not just some simulation crap I lost two good friends 3 years ago from a drunk driving accident and several that I have gone to school with have had dui accidents some resulting in death
Thank you for the price list and I understand if you don't have the time but do have the money then those people are the way to go unfortunately im in the opposite boat I've got some time but not enough moola:grd:

Two questions first will the troop seats from a deuce work on an M813A1, second if not how much do they generally cost including the headache rack and 2 foot sections? :lost:
