Well as some of you may know, I purchased a 923a1 from a GL lot in Jeff City MO. I sent in my first EUC on the 19th and it was approved yesterday the 30th. I'm scheduled to get the truck at 9:30 on Thursday. Yes I'm bringing a camera, with batteries to document the trip back to St. Louis.
I...
Well, looks like my EUC cleared today. I am going to give Mike another call about setting up a date to pick it up. I really wanted to look over everything before, but I guess we will do that before we take off.
Okay cool. I have two gallons of water, one of anti freeze, a gallon of oil, and two quarts of gear oil. I also have as many tools as our poor little civic can handle haha. I'll get some power steering fluid and some fuel treatment tomorrow. I went to advanced auto cause it's close to my house...
Should I also get some transmission or power steering fluid?
Could you link me to one of those forums on what to take? I found one a couple weeks ago but can't seem to find it now.
Thanks,
Jeff
But you didn't have to fill out an EUC for tents. I'm pretty sure I remember reading in the contract the names had to match up. Good luck on your purchase. The people at GL are very nice to talk to. It is a lot of step by step processes though that seems kinda overwhelming at first.
Jeff
Ray,
I was actually planning on trying to do that this coming Thursday. But I might try to go Tuesday if either of those days work for you? I need to give the rep a call and see what he says. I'm going to Warrensburg Wednesday, so that's out...
Jeff
I'm 19, almost 20. I used my debit card to pay for the truck. I also have a credit card that I've never missed a payment on. I sent in my EUC on the 19th and I just got an export letter today. I'm thinking it will clear shortly.
The age requirement is 18. It's a lot of work, or it seems so...
Well good news. I got my export letter in the mail today. I sent the EUC on the 19th, it was sent to BC on the 23rd, and today is the 28th. This is my first EUC. I was expecting it to take longer, and it still may. But the letter is good news to me!
Hopefully I get it cleared and I can get the...
Sounds good to me! I'm up for anything once I get all the paperwork settled on the truck. Plus I'm only 19 so I will be heading back to school in Warrensburg in a month.
I wish I would have gotten in on those Jeff City trucks that sold a couple weeks ago. They were nice and went for a little...
Thank you! Yep! This is my first truck all together so it should be fun. All my friends spend there money on small things. I saved my pennies for a couple years and this is what I want. I feel like it will be a good investment in the future hopefully.
Sounds good! It still hasn't showed up on GL yet, they say it takes 24 hours or less.
Thanks for all the help. I need to ask you sometime what some good suppliers for parts are. I haven't done any research yet. Can't wait to get it home. Who knows how long my EUC will take to clear... We'll...
Thank you. We have been looking at moving more out West in Missouri.
Parades are always fun. My dad collects WWII vehicles and gear. We have been doing parades in the STL area for as long as I can remember. The veterans day parades are usually the big ones.
Thank you. Well the engine hour gauge says 46 hours... What that means, I don't know. 22k miles on it as well, so maybe it did get a new engine, or a rebuild?
My plans for the truck are to keep it how it is. It's mainly going to be a parade truck. It will be taken to some offroad parks as...
Haha I figured someone on here was. I dug around for a little extra cash in order to make it happen too.
Thanks everyone for the compliments. This is my first truck and I hope she works out. Go big or go home right? :D
