had the issue where i could press the clutch in with my pinky. the truck would slip in gear however meaning the clutch was totally fried. your issue is strange if its getting power and driving normally.
36 is pretty tall, might need a small lift. it probably has 31's on it now? I know on my M1009 i'd need a 4" lift to get 36's under it (i have 31.5's on the stock config with no rubbing on turns)
there is a local 4x4 shop here who quoted me $600 to lift it properly 6"
Good advice FMJ
yea, i have a feeling my buddy bought the parts and 'farmer' installed it. Just a warning to do it right. follow past advice. lots of times these old engines would run for years normally, until you ask more of them. I was just throwing it out there as i've seen it go the bad...
as I said in the other thread (i now realized you said glow plugs so its a diesel) i'd leave it the way it is. I have NEVER had a garage that fits my vehicles to work in. Embrace the suck, pick your days to do the jobs required. its unique, you have a good potential camper conversion or...
buddy of mine put a banks system on a 6.2. it didn't last long, they weren't designed to have that extra boost. that being said Im sure it is do-able and Im sure guys have done it successfully. do yourself a favor and don't cut corners or cheap out on things. These are sometimes tired...
is it a diesel or a gasser? (could go either way on the Canadian owned ones)
the 6.2 is a VERY cranky cold starting engine. It clacks and shakes like its going to explode, totally normal. Smoking those colours at cold start-up and diesels are also totally normal. Its un-burnt fuel
if its a...
congratulations! i have 2 myself and i'm a self employed sole provider. I know your pain there. I justify my trucks through my business ;)
and yes you are correct on the dual config. yours is set up for singles though, no? maybe I misunderstood that. if it isn't set up, you'd have to...
if I had to guess, the tracking was not changed meaning they would work. measure your outside hub to outside hub and i'll measure mine. Now i am curious....
if its the same as the M35 or MLVW (which i'm uncertain) they will bolt right on. The MLVW rim offset, I think, is a wider track than the old split-rims. Mine bolted up with no rubbing what so ever and it came with the 9.00 NDS tires from the US in dually config. I flipped the rear hubs over...
makeup of the snow makes the biggest difference. If its wet, hot spinning tires with lots of PSI can create an ice layer which can really screw you up. Drifting snow hardens like concrete and can hang up your axles, control arms if the drift is big enough. small drifts, as long as some wheel...
Nice! I thought you had a soft top..where did that mount in?
I usually use the cockpit lights. They mount on a quick detach to the dash and the curly cord adds some exploration length when you realize your keys vibrated behind the seat. 24V . some change from red to white. some are...
