Another Goat on the road.
Another goat on the road in Oklahoma. Got my goat in Jan 2012 after a 1,500 mile trip. Been working on it outside off and on since then. Finally finished a complete overhaul of brake system that included cyls, pads, springs, master cyl, flexible lines both air &...
I had black algae in mine, plus the rubber connection lines were rotted. I removed the rubber lines, fuel indicator mechanism, open the drain peacocks and pressure washed the tanks with out removing them, this removed most of the gunk. The rest I removed with a scotch pad, long arms helps. Also...
Anyone going to APG please keep an eye out for anyone with a M43 Chemical Detector on their table. I have been looking for one to mount on my M151A1 for awhile. Please pass on my SS name. Thanks
If your looking for a goat, ask if the rubber brake lines been replaced, if they have that will save you a weekend and a few choice words at your goat. Did mine this weekend, not fun weekend, rusted connections, no room to turn a wrench and arms stretched to their max.
I read your post but can not be of any help concern shock replacement, never replaced one to date. The parking brake boot never came across one for sale. I sprayed mine with Plastic Dip from Lowes and it looks new. If you need close up pictures or measurements let me know.
I lucked out and found one on eBay last year, the guy had it listed by PN number. Next oil change I plan to convert to spin on filter. I am lucky current stock filter never leaked, just a pain to service.
Restoring a M561 Gama Goat that seen better days. The access plate located under the passenger seat, the bolts are all seized. I moved on to fixing the brakes. Anyone know what's under this plate? Anything critical that I should not put off looking at. Goat runs fine, just no brakes.
Salt 6, awhile back there was a goat owner in OK that was looking for a clutch disk and fork. If you know of him please pass on these parts are currently listed on eBay.
