Did I toast my 6.2 engine somehow, and how do you jump a 24v HMMWV?

That intake is directly under the seam between the hood and the cowling. Pull the glow plugs that you can and see if the "tight spot" goes away.

Did I toast my 6.2 engine somehow, and how do you jump a 24v HMMWV?

Pull the glow plugs and see if you have a hydro-locked cylinder, also only turn an engine in the normal direction, that would be trying to tighten the harmonic balancer.

Did I toast my 6.2 engine somehow, and how do you jump a 24v HMMWV?

I would be shocked if a 2 year old Odyssey was bad unless it sat dead for a long time. Did you inspect the teeth all the way around the flex plate? There should be 4 "tight" spots per crank revolution, if you have a tight spot in only one place EVERY revolution something seems wrong.

HMMWV won't start, transmission light is on

Get the schematic and learn how to use it and there is no issue you cannot figure out.

M1151 A1 funky behavior at the traffic light

The brake switch no matter how it acts should not allow the transmission torque converter to lock, it only tells the TC to unlock. The TC should only lock in 3rd or 4th gear, not ever in 1st gear at a stop.

    Misfire from possible fuel issue?

That much fuel really sounds like a bad lift pump, the IP has a weep hole that should flood the valley under the IP if that seal goes out and a single injector even on a really dead cylinder could not cause that much diesel into the oil. The check valves are in front of the fuel tank, most...

    RPM noise through vic-1/h-161 headsets.

You should have started another thread rather than resurrecting a 7 year old thread. Also this would be better served on the communication thread so I am going to move it.

HMMWV in limp mode no trans light

He has not confirmed that he has a schematic which of course would be the first step.

    Misfire from possible fuel issue?

The next step is to do a compression check on all the cylinders. Some questions Do you have positive fuel pressure when you open the water drain valve while running? How bad is the fuel contamination, how much over full is the crankcase and is it getting worse fast? Have you checked the fuel...

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

Three times, he loved being a transport pilot as there was a large variety in missions, he was also somewhat of a black marketeer and being a transport pilot made that possible, probably why he became a PX officer after the war. :ROFLMAO:

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

It was a gorgeous in S TX today, definitely a chamber of commerce day!! Mid 80s in the afternoon and just a wisp of clouds in the sky. So I jogged down to Pockport TX where they were having a small air show with Stearman rides. They had 3 Stearman, a P51, a couple T6 Texans, a couple planes that...

    HMMWV Coolant Filter Setup?

I second an aggressive flush, rather than the heater core I would be concerned the passages in the heads possibly being restricted. EDIT or the block filled with rust, I might even be tempted to pull any accessible freeze plugs after flushing to have a look.

Do you have the schematics? If not what is your serial number?

What can you tell me about this brake sensor?

I would not mess with it until I bled the brakes and had a good solid pedal.
  15. Mogman

What can you tell me about this brake sensor?

Yes that is the brake WARNING light "trigger" if you unplug it and the warning light stays on the parking brake switch is likely closed. It "flips" because when you step on the brakes the equalizer is moving to try and balance the brakes which probably in need of bleeding at least. Those brake...

What can you tell me about this brake sensor?

When the system is in balance that switch should be open

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Sad we can't get them like that:(

    M1165 Fording Kit Removal

Be careful in the mean time as the intake manifold is open to ingesting crap through the hose where the CDR valve was removed, one little piece of crud and you will be getting another engine.

looking for humvee mechanic on the north east

He is just asking for a reference to a mechanic, we by nature just want to jump in and help

looking for humvee mechanic on the north east

You have of course changed the fuel filter, checked to make sure you have positive pressure at the fuel filter water drain and it has fresh fuel yes?? And yes give the model number and the history of the truck (as you know it)
