I am getting ready to mount the winch on my '86 M35A2C and while I am at it I figure I might as well try to get matching winch mounting brackets.
The mounting bracket I have for the driver's side is the pressed steel type, while the passengers side is the welded steel type. Does anyone know...
I would recommend post going to the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club site and searching there. I recall seeing some discussions about rome plows there a few years ago.

That is one fine looking truck!
I was just to the point where I figured, I don't really need a M818 with a deuce bed and then you had to go and post those pics.
I got my flapper from NAPA and it does not make a slapping sound. My boys have the same flappers on their trucks and they don't do it either.
Is your truck's idle set too low?
IMHO - From an as aesthetics perspective the FMTVs do not have the character of the M35 variants.
I prefer old school technology with mechanical injection pumps, manual transmissions and no computers thank you!
I use a pump similar to the one pictured below.
I also fill to the bottom of the fill plug and have driven at highway speeds of ~53 MPH for 4 - 5 hours with no issues.
You could paint it OD and nobody would be the wiser.:-D
The 6TL adapter trays allow you easily to install Optima 6TL batteries in the battery box. You can get them from ODIron at the link below:

You can get the locking door handles < $10..0...

I was looking at one of these for my 92 Dodge so I could bump up the idle on those cold mornings instead of using a wooden dowel wedged between the seat and the accelerator.
Reub - If you see any top bows for a M103A3 trailer laying around, please let me know.
That place looks like its packed with treasures, if only I were rolling in the bucks.
