Hey palskidoo, I've read quite a bit about the failure-prone electronic light control units and if you haven't already, keep your eyes open for a deal on the original-style 3-lever switch and stick it under the driver's seat till you get the chance to change it out. Once you get it changed out...
When I recovered my deuce from Forrestville (an hour north of San Francisco on the coast) and drove it back to Yucaipa California, it was like I was invisible to to the LEOs. Every cop I saw passed me and didn't even look in my direction the whole 580 miles. Everyone else I saw was staring...
The only other vehicle I know of that it's specifically recommended you set the valves cold is the old (rear-engine) Volkswagens. .006 intake, .004 exhaust.
;)
Ah yes I remember now. It amazes me that the owner could put so much time, money and effort into the custom job, which looks incredible, but if it were mine, I'd upgrade the brakes to a dual-circuit disk system for better stopping power, being that is one of the few weak points of an A2.

Congrats on your new aquisition! Wait till you get to cruising it around and see the attention you'll get! I love taking mine grocery shopping! LMAO!

A friend of mine worked in a tire shop years ago. The manager had just changed a tube in a split-rim truck tire, and the rim's lock ring wasn't seated correctly. Also the bonehead forgot to put the wheel in the safety cage before hooking up the air hose and attempting to seat the beads. With the...
I guess that's what you do when the deuce cab is rotted away or crunched and the nearest stock replacement is a a little further than you wanna go to get it. It's clearly a low-budget build, but I'd say he didn't do too bad at all. I wouldn't mind taking it for a spin, but I sure hope it's got...
Mine quit working one day, so I reached under the dash, found the wire to the buzzer and moved it around. The buzzer came back on, but I have either a loose connector or a dirty contact point. Either way I need to take out the passenger seat to make room enough to get my big carcass under the...
I found some info on Google about it. It's compressed liquified natural gas. Of course you can run a deuce on it if you wanna ditch everything from the fuel tank to the IP and everything in between and start from scratch with a whole new fuel system. I'd say you're better off investing in a...
Gee, ya wouldn't happen to have the room and equipment to bob a deuce there, would ya? I wanna bob mine, but I need somewhere close by to handle the heavy lifting without being in anyone's way.

I dunno if it was so obvious that it just never crossed your mind, or if other clearance issues prohibit, but how about an access panel in the bottom of the sleeper so you can get to the pump, fuse and float on the top of the tank? You could make it a hinged panel with a bolt or two holding it...
If the drive shaft is turning and the wheels are not, it sounds like someone put on a set of machined out hub caps for road milage. I've never heard of them getting stripped out on thier own, but I suppose anything is possible. It might be time for a new set of hub caps and if it's in the...
A few days ago I got curious so I cut a clear soda bottle in half, turned on the master power and cracked open the draincocks on my fuel filters. Barely a trickle. OH NO!
Yesterday I dropped the fuel filter cups, poured what was in them in a gas can and took out the cartriges. The primary cup...
