    Are you cycling glowplugs? if it doesnt start first try, shut off cycle glow plugs and try again Don't crank too long each cycle you should start no problem after 3rd or 4th cycle If still nothing try to let it cook on the block heater for a day or so might try a thermal blanket in engine...

    that's a LOT of meat. I think the stock tire is 10 or so wide. My 12.5's are still inside the fender wells, but just barely!! You will need a BIG gain in HP to turn those in the thick stuff or if your crawling to go over rocks.... Not sure the 6.2 that's 25 years old would handle that increase...

    Gen 1 light on

    Need some troubleshooting clues..... my gen 1 light is barely starting to glow while driving without any accessories on. I have to cup hand around to see faint glow....     Advice needed

    Sounds like a weak lifter, sitting for that long with lifter compressed is not real good. Any time I have stored a vehicle for a long time, I have been instructed to crank off the rockers to relieve pressure on the lifters. This presumes the diesel has hydraulic lifters.

    What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

    Finally fixed the fuel gauge inop..... Sons 74 Blazer stopped registering so I figured since I was doing one I would do the other.. Both cases the ground wire had come off the tank float. Rusted through at body connection. I spliced in additional wire and reattached. Poof they were fixed.

    Windshield wiper and sprayer fix

    washer rebuild available from LMC and others I took the cowl cover of mine, when it was warmer outside and lubed up the rod ends.. Seemed to help when warm, no so not that its below freezing here... maybe reconsider using chassis grease next time!!aua
