Mother and child killed by military truck

Some clarifications: 1) The unidentified (here, anyways) driver who caused the young woman in the small car to stop suddenly is the initial cause of the whole thing, however the SUV driver failed to maintain safe distance and is the major cause of the two collisions. Driving is not something...

    MVPA 2012 Alaska Highway Convoy

2,700 miles from my house to Watson Lake, Yukon. Four 12-hour days to get there; $900 in fuel based on 10 mpg, $3.20/gal diesel. I can see it now: "Hey wifey, I'm gonna go on a little road trip. Be back in about 3 weeks, and I'm only gonna spend about $2,500!!"...

    24 volt beacon

Hadn't thought about it- I'll call the highway patrol tomorrow. But if you'd seen how even the big rigs ride up on my a$$aua, you'd see why I'm willing to risk a ticket. Once I started using the rotating beacon on my WWII truck, it opened up the spacing by at least three car lengths. It gets me...

    24 volt beacon

Hi All: I have found when driving my WWII Dodge that a yellow rotating caution beacon (like the ones used on construction trucks) mounted to the back of the truck makes a HUGE difference in not being tail-gated (even the semis stopped doing it). Are these available in 24 volt? Or better yet...

    neighbor problems

Just try to keep your cool, don't make extra noise BUT don't do anything where they think they can push you around like "hiding" the truck from view. Whatever you do, don't let them see you spill anything like fuel, oil, or coolant on the ground! -Ken J
