Lets See Your 5-Ton and up!
Ok, So here is a spin off to the lets see your deuce thread. Lets see your 5-ton and up truck. Stock, built, used, abused lets see it!
With the amount of 5 tons going, you don't have to worry about getting stuck and having to use the winch, someone can pull you out. The winch on these trucks are a pain in the but to use but I guess we can have a class about proper winching while we are there.
E22, other then my m818, I don't have a way to get it up there. It is really unsafe to tow it behind my little 1/2 ton silverado and I dont plan on taking the m818 in the first place. Ill see what I can do.
I'm in the same boat as him, my shop is about 15min from Ft. Meade, I can pick it up and/or hold it till you get a shipper. I have another members truck that needs to go to Ny so you might want to get with him and see if you can split the bill.
Not to hijack the thread but i'll have 2 4bt's with transmissions for sale up there, just hope there will be a wrecker up there to help unload if anyone wants one. can bring supplies to start them on spot. They will be in the parking lot in my pick up, phone # will be listed on them.
There are no storage fees while you wait for your euc to clear but when it does clear you have 14 days to pick it up or you default on the auction and you loose it. I got a shop 15min from fort meade, I also got a 818 and a tow bar. I towed a deuce off base a few weeks ago, towed a few before...
:ditto:
I think it was the fact that when the truck had no pressure and you were rolling backwards, the sprag was in not engaged, but as pressue built, it might have "snapped" into reverse. You'll find out the next time you go offroad if you messed anything up because you'll be able to see...
The market for them seems to stay about the same. I see them selling for $2k all day long for a complete, running, turbo motor. I have seen the P pump 4bt's go for $3k but thats nuts. If you put it on ebay or 4btswaps.com with the chevy adapter and trans, im sure someone will pick it up for...
Couldn't agree more, thats why I got 4 of them ;)
I personally would do the P pump swap on the 24v. You wouldnt have to worry about a ECM and you can get more power. Soon as I sell 2 of my motors, im going to start building a p pumped 24v to put in some MV.
