download the tm's find a truck thats reasonable and in reasonable shape (3,000 to 6,000) if thats even possible now. Do the work yourself and learn as you go. This isnt rocket science its a labor of love.

Each guage has its own specific sending unit that matches with it. The guage and the sending unit have to correspond to each other. im not saying you need to buy a new sending unit because it is probably ok. You just need to have the proper guage. I went through this same issue when...
Ill weigh in on this. First, the reality of owning a truck or multiple for that matter is this. These trucks require REGULAR maintenance, either by you or another qualified person. That being said, the cost of making inevitable repairs is fairly high. You can certainly save money by doing it...
no problems with mine at all. Mine is not exactly a daily driver, but im very anal about every little detail of maintenance on my truck. If its low on coolant i wont drive it. If it starts running warm, its parked until i figure out the issue. Low oil? I find out why before i drive it anywhere...

i figure mines getting around 10 mpg at 2200 rpm consistently. Thats bout the best i think im gonna see. I bet my 109 wont even be in double digits running downhill
ive bought a few small parts from them. No real problems to speak of. If you're buying a truck i would certainly monitor craigslist or the classifieds here closely.
