There was either a rock drill or the jack hammer for sale on ebay recently. I think the asking price was $1,000 but didn't look to see if it sold. I have not seen any go for less than $1,000.
FYI the chainsaw is quite a dangerous device compared to a normal chainsaw. If doesn't have a...
One difference between the SEE and HMMH is the front suspension lock out. It looks like there is quite an electrical harness and some equipment that the SEE doesn't have.
I expect I will be ordering a set of loader forks that hang off the loader bucket on my SEE at some point. I realize there...
While moving a slash pile around today with my SEE, I managed to stall the engine and the engine restarted in reverse. I had read that it was possible but experiencing it is another story. The front loader hydraulics stopped running and exhaust started blowing out the air intake and it was...
Looking for Flu419 schematics. Have several electrical items not working. Thumbed thru the Tm.
I learned on another forum that the military did issue a poster style wiring schematic with an NSN. Apparently there have even been a few up for government surplus auction but to date I haven't found...
I have been spending time trying to get my air system to work as it stopped working previously. The air system is obviously integral to a lot of systems. It took me awhile as parts take awhile. I did swap out the air pressure regulator initially but that didn't do it. I ended up disassembling a...
I had similar issues with mine which had been in Texas for awhile. A rodent decided to build a nest behind the dash and ate part of the wiring harness. The nest and damage was not visible until I removed a lot of stuff like fresh air ducts and the fuse box and part of the harness. It took...
Just in case you need to replace a tube fitting on the SEE air lines , they appear to be 10 MM metric bite type fittings. The tricky part is that these fittings are made in different pressure ratings. The pressure rating you want is a "S" rating rather than a "L" rating. The L rating fittings...
Someone in VT has a drivers and passenger door listed on unimog exchange.
With regard to the photos from skippydi, In photo 4 I see both hydraulic cooling fans are missing. One of mine failed, I couldn't find one except in the complete unit for lots more dollars. Looking at how it failed I...
I went through fuel issue with my rig and had some of the same concerns on my injector pump. I had a small outboard engine fuel tank with a squeeze bulb sitting around so I disconnected the short fuel line between the fuel shut off valve and the fuel strainer and hooked the temp tank up so it...
I just went through fuel starvation issues on my SEE. I found a lot of odd issues like the tank vent inlet tube painted over and a possibly bad gasket on the fuel strainer but I didn't cure it until I replaced all the plastic fuel hoses with "rubber" (some sort of synthetic rated for diesel) ...
Actually I think its this part number. The installed bucket doesn't have provisions for a ripper claw that the standard bucket is equipped with.
3830-01-361-8209 Ripper, Bucket
(12177) 020-189
A EA 1
its listed in the Operations Manual Additional Authorization List. but not on the HR AAL...
I ended up with the optional ripper bucket. it is not shown in the manuals but is listed as an optional part. It is a beast with some major hardened steel hooks welded to the back of the bucket. makes for a not very neat hole. I plan to be looking for a standard bucket once I get some bugs...
While diagnosing why my SEE started running out of fuel when running, I discovered that the fuel tank vent on mine is equipped with a bronze screen which was nicely painted over rendering the bronze screen useless. This vent is screwed into the top of the tank and has a hose barb sticking out...
The air hose is available from Eurotruck Importers http://www.eurotruck-importers.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_127&products_id=636&zenid=ff4dfb274590aae516b349707d0bc3fb. Just don't expect that you will get much volume out of the compressor.
Seems to be pretty standard that getting the backhoe back and locked is a pretty common issue. Mine has it. I asked this question before and folks with experience stated that in order for it to swing back enough to lock is to bring it back at full speed, most new owners try to go slow and it...
The person I bought mine had issues with starting and he went through a lot of attempts to fix and it came down to a bad connection in the fuse box. The combination of the location and the design of the fusebox means its easy for corrosion to get in the fuse contacts. Might be worth cleaning the...
Well it was worth a try. I actually bought a cylinder rod for mine as the one on the rig has several rust spots. I know I can buff them out but figured I might as well pick up a rod as it some point it makes sense to change it out.
Any chance the missing cylinder is this one ?

Not cheap but I expect a heck of lot better than buying it new from Case. This backhoes was...
