The wipers should work.
I bought them on ebay, too. Trial trim edge seal. Example:
Universal Weatherstrip / Trim Edge Seal / Sponge Bulb & Dense Rubber .08"-.11"
I found some on .com ... dimensions are pretty close. You can compensate it easily. You can weld the frame a bit closer or further...

Whats about a subframe with ISO locks? Like the sea containers?
If you search with google for PVC flooring wine case, you will find something that suits you. A link to my flooring wan't help, because shipping from Bavaria to Tennessee "might" be a bit expensive -:)

I've removed the fuel tank. Does anyone has a source for the "fabric pads" between the support and the tank? Or the correct term? NSN?
