I did. Follow the advice here. I later added back to two 12v Alts, but still on a 12v system.
If I ever get a winch, power inverter, etc, I'm set.
IIRC, all your pink w/ black stripe wires were 24v, and will become 12v. Not important now, but good to know.
Save your switching relay, good to...
Yes, I didn't catch how it was plumbed different than the old tube and fin style. I'm pleased by heavy duty it is though.
As a side note, the Blazer tank cross members came, thanks to the helpfull here. I'll be putting them aside for now, want/need to get moved this spring.
If it fits I'll go in from the side then. Otherwise from the top I guess.
I have a factory remote oil cooler from a later model already, and a tube and fin trans cooler, but not as large as I'd like. I may run both trans coolers.
I put trans and oil temp gauges in, curious what they'll show.
I'm running a 30 micron and a 10 micron oil filter sized filters. I then have a tank selector valve.
I have a Mr Gasket diesel pump pushing fuel through all this.
Is it beneficial to add a pump after the restrictions?
I have both an OEM in line pump, and an older Walbro pump.
Which is better for...
I want to connect my racor water in fuel sensor to the OEM wif light and a seat belt buzzer.
Anyone know if it will work, and will it switch a relay via the ground?
Today I was redoing the fuel lines, pumps etc. Putting in the 30r16, I think I got that right, rated fuel line.
Found the fuel tank selector valve was no good. Never was either.
It's the made in China black plastic with six ports, multi terminal plug from Amazon / eBay and everywhere else for...
I have one of those valves for my saddle tanks. I need to run heavier wires to it as I think the 22gga signal wire is way to thin. I thought it was powering a relay in it, but now I think it energizes a magnet directly.
I want a third tank for another fluid.
I'm waiting to hear about a set of...
Dual alts to both cs144 types is done. All of my mounts on both sides and the passenger side tensioner was used, 97 inch belt.
ARP Ford pinto head studs were used in the bottom end of the block. ARP head studs in the top.
I ported and matched the exhaust manifolds to the heads. I'm running a...
No buffaloes, but if I could find me one of the nifty canvas hanging things they put out in the field for canteen refills I'd hang it from a ladder rack and fill it with the high test washer fluid.
Of course that was back in the steel pot and OD Greens days.
I miss the taste of wet canvas.
No need to be snarky. ;-)
I've no need for more 3500 gallons. I can make two trips if need be. :-P
If I can find the two bracket/Cross members, I'll go that route. Parts are scarce around me.
