Thanks NDT. It would be a LOT less ! The quote I got was $4900 . My fuel cost would be about $900 to 1200.And that is both ways. He would be getting $4.90 a mile. Think I would have been a drive if I could get that. That's like $294 per hour. At least at 60 miles a hour. LOL
Thanks , fe5eua !

My receiver is a 2" x 2" ,think its considered a class 3 ? I built it and it is very over built !
As for a tow bar, you tell me what is needed and I will get it. One thing I don't have is air for the...
Thanks for the reply,Mike!
I think it is the GL lot. Think its on post ?
As for moving it ,If I could make a pull with my semi/rv with a tow bar I would have that covered. If not I would need to get it towed. Here is a photo of my Truck. Pulled lots of stuff but never tried a Mil tow bar ...
Need to find a place to rent and store a M1079. Will need to be able to work on the truck. This truck has all the fluids out of it ? So I need to work through that and bring it back to being road worthy. If I can't work that out It will get towed back to AZ. (Man they get alot for that pull !)...
A little background. I built a WW2 Weasel and a M151 (first Run #53 ). Did my time from 72 to 75 Army Recon. I have sold the Weasel and was thinking about what is next ? I know the Wife will go through the roof with more "Green stuff".
I'm now working on a Semi RV that never got finished ...
Been looking for a M1078 or M1079. Found some in TX. but their not running and have had the fluids drained ?
Other than they don't run. (maybe getting junk) Is this a sine that they are JUNK ?
Thanks for the input ! Randy
All good info and ideas !
Think I will stick with the under mount.
Thanks PS for the photos. Maybe I can use the pintle rear nut for a pickup point for the inside plate ? The rear plate could slide over the pintle shaft and bolt to the 2" x 2" receive ? Or, maybe the lower cross brace bolts ...
Most will bolt on to the pental mount but the inside plate ?
Any body want to take s photo for me ? Looking to the rear from the rear axle ?
Thanks,Randy
Going to try to find one (M1078) here in Phoenix and then see about fabing most of it here. Maybe do a test fit here also ?
Also made a copy over on the 2" x 2" receiver page. My bad !
