FMJ has a point, bjorn. im suprised mine wasn't nor were alot of other's. can you please elborate? or should we wait til someone makes a thread about it?
ok, R_E, if you're going to complain endlessly about this, why do you have a deuce? if you're complaining about it, theres plenty of people here willing to be happy with it. :-P it was first design in '49. inexperianced drivers were what the design board had in mind.
like someone said...
welcome from texas. dont mind the weird guys. what am i saying? we're all weird! :-P
But anyways, from a 16 yr old to a girl on this site, you dont very many of either of our kinds. as long as you know what your talking about, you'll fit right in.
since my dad is neglecting his own thread, ill post the progress. from where he left off, we removed the rear bogey and are now to where we need to either cut the frame or install the rear suspension.
question #3: should we cut the frame first or install the back axel and suspension and then...
Barrman, Thanks for bringing this up. I got in contact with him.
And for the record, I am who you ran into yesterday. My dad's account is Awesome Possum.
got back to work on it. the box is off and are preping it to cut it. we aquired a nice m105 with a great bed to use. also got all the side boards, bows(minus 1) and canvas cover with it. also had a little too much fun with the camera while riding.
well my dad wants to make a m37/deuce tribute vietnam guntruck out of it. that should be interesting.
to those who want parts, it went to the smelter tuesday. hate to see it go too, but we already spent months trying to find a good home for it. we saved alot of aluminum stuff and the windows.
we just started the epic journey from m109 to bobbed deuce yesterday. since we've been trying to get rid of the 109 box for months and have had no luck and have no place to keep it, tomorrow its going to the scrap yard. so yesterday, we started stripping the poor box of aluminum and are ripping...
any deuce-friendly trails? we are going to have the deuce bobbed by then(hopfully by end of april). our attendence for this next rally is up in the air.
finally! pics! i felt like a true blonde on the way home because i realized the only pics i got of the steel soldiers vehicals and us was the convoy pics.
me, my dad, and step mom had a great time. i am looking forward to the next time, hoping for more deuces. my dad on the other hand, not so much. he'll live. ill post my pics when we find the camera.
cool truck. welcome to the site and hope it helps. im curious of the 001 number. first thing that came to my mind is it could be the first on produced and its the serial number. be sure to keep all of us posted on how the project goes.
