I found that one it was tag 57 - installed and got the wipers and dash lights back., I also found the alternator brace on ebay... Its a big puzzle, I will figure out eventually
I think I have found the temp sending wire, could this be it? The only way to tell is to run a continuity test from the back of the temp gauge to the cut part?
I'm guessing the temp gauge sending unit (under the #1 glow plug in the picture) and speed sending (photo) are with glow plugs, but there doesn't seem to be enough room in the bundle to fit the temp and speed. Im trying to avoid cutting into the bundles to find them,
Help, again! I have looked locally at older model 1992 HMMWV with no luck being able to figure out where the wires come from to connect the speed sensor or temp sending unit, as they do not have or are missing the same things I am missing.
I have a 1998 M1123 HMMWV missing the connection from...
Thanks for all the help, Craig over at Macmotors is helping me get the ends and I am going to have to make up some connections to get the temp sensor sending unit back up and running. Not sure what the speed sensor is doing, as the truck drives well with out it plugged in......
I think someone was out to get me on this one, the tags are missing on some of the wires, The wires from the speed sensor near the crank there are no tags., and then I have wires coming out of the harness and they have tags, but the numbers are not matching up to anything I can find.
Is this the speed sending unit near the crank? if so I am missing the wiring between the two.
I am also missing the wire between the temperature sending unit and the wiring harness. do you know the tag numbers for the temp sending unit numbers? could they be 358J and349B?
No all good here., when I picked up the truck the torque converter was disconnected from the flywheel and front diff shaft was off, so I was able to figure the front diff was in good order, checked the transfer case and worked smoothly through 4H L 4H N 4 L no binding or grinding as I...
No, it is dead in the water, will not move at all, I have called a local transmission shop to look over and give advice. I really don't know where to start. It has clean red fluid., but other than that I'm at a loss.
So to follow up, your sending unit was unplugged and you had no transmission at all, then plugged in the sensor and light went out and transmission worked?
I know nothing about transmissions.
Great news, got the engine up and running, no leaks and holding oil pressure and water temps, got brakes, lights, all engine systems seem to be normal.
However, now on to the deep end -- I don't know any thing about the transmission, after getting the electrics all sorted out and getting...
Welcome to the forum, I too am new to this group and they are wonderful. I was able to get my electrical system figured out in a week and got her to turn over and run., I however am finding water in the oil and loose lines, other fun stuff. Looking like it going to be a fun road once we...
I have searched the forum for any tips, tricks on the fuel pump installation. Not having much luck. I purchased 1998 M1123 with 6.5 L diesel, no fuel pump in the truck when picked up. New pump is back in, push rod, and hoses., Any advice, tips, or tricks on getting the pump up and...
