I'm assuming you meant to say Kroil oil and not krill oil? No one should put krill oil in the pneumatic system. Most people I know with air assisted steering put jack oil in the pneumatic system and work the steering back and forth. It usually works.
The problem I had with my M35A2 glovebox was the rotten and melted rubber gasket for the door. It took me several hours cleaning the remains off before I could replace it.
My FLU419 came with the ripper backhoe bucket as well. I also have the ripper teeth on the loader bucket. This isn't a problem because I also have two John Deere tractors with smooth lipped loader buckets. I live on 40 acres in a very mountainous and rocky area. At first I didn't like the...
I have an M35A3 W/W that I have owned going on 11 years now that I got directly from GL. I also owned an M35A2 W/W at the same time. I love my M35A3. It has turned out to be the most dependable MV I've ever owned, much more dependable than my A2. Once I replaced the gaskets on the wheel...
State Farm will write a commercial policy for non-commercial use for a deuce, no problem. However, State Farm has a requirement that they won't write this type of policy unless you have at least one vehicle insured with them under a standard passenger car policy. I think they figured out that...
Absolutely none of my business, but what is the guy asking for the MEP002? As others have stated, this deal smells a little. I would go for an untested, cheap and complete unit for a very good price as is, or pay more for a tested unit.
Joel,
The answer is complicated and based on my FLU419. On my FLU, the left and right door hinge pins are different.
Drivers Side Door
On my FLU, the upper hinge has a pin with a head on it, driven in from the lower side of the hinge. The lower hinge pin doesn't have a head on it. In any...
I stay as far from Chinese goods as possible. Sometimes it isn't possible. I was responsible for equipping a very large manufacturing facility in China with hand tools, machine tools and electronic equipment. I was under mandatory orders from the Chinese management to not purchase any...
I use DOT5 in all of my vehicles. Never had an issue in any vehicle in the past ~20 or so years. I bought DOT5 in bulk on Ebay many years ago for a cheap price.
I have no doubt that the batteries you are getting are new and at a very good price. I was referring to people selling NOS Hawker Armasafe batteries which tend to be a little "long in the tooth" in some cases.
In the past, I've checked on some "new" Hawker Armasafe 6TAGM batteries for sale on Ebay and maybe on here as well - I can't remember, but the price was excellent. However, when I asked for the date of manufacture, they were always 3 - 5 years old, or they wouldn't tell me. EnerSys, the...
I used a very large pry bar and it came over it very easily on all the tires. I did pour tire lube over the area before prying, however. No damage to any tires. I was very lucky in that I inherited a lot of truck tire changing tools from my Grandfather that date back to the 1930s. Very handy...
If you are careful there is minimal risk of damaging anything doing the dismount with tractor forks. I've done several tires this way and not had any problems.
I just purchased two new Odyssey PC2250ST / 6TAGM batteries for my FLU 419 in July. Odyssey batteries are made by the same company that makes the Hawker Armasafe 6TAGM batteries and have the exact same specifications. The batteries are red instead of green, but who cares.
On August 10, I contacted the park by telephone and told them I was part of the GA Military Vehicle Rally and wanted to reserve a Yurt. The lady told me at that time that the last Yurt had been reserved, so I reserved SR48 campsite instead. It sounds like their reservation system is screwed...
When you start the goat with the cable to your M151, leave the cable connected. With the cable still connected, are your instruments, lights, etc functional? If so, I would suspect your batteries or a damaged cable. Just because you can measure the correct voltage with the multimeter, doesn't...
The Gillespie paint is great, but I agree about the crappy nozzles Rapco used to supply. The two nozzles I used to get from Rapco were different for two different spray patterns, which was nice. I also wrapped the cans with paper towels when spraying and wore gloves.
