    Yea i made it back in 22 hours, got in about 1:00 pm saturday. Total rebuilt 1545 and torque converter with labor ( removal and installation ) $3,600.00 yea it hurts but i would rather spend it on this than a tow bill - a waste of money.

    It was left at the truck shop in topeka, trans and toqure converter are beening rebuilt. Yea, i thought i had it made to Glen, 1,672 miles with 178 hours. I will not be in this spot again.

    The difference is the lockup toqure converter, this converter is $2,500.00 new, i know first hand.

    It takes 45 tons to bend 3/4" that wide on a 4" bottom die. You can bend it on a 6" bottom die with 50 tons.

    I should have done it step by step. First pic with a rose bud to 1,600 degress and then put the hardening powder on the hot spot. It welts into steel about 1/16 of an inch and place in cool water at about 1,100 degress. The pic of the bracket is after it came out of the bucket of water case...
