    Deuce Rear Hub Runs Hot

Have you checked the brake adjustment? Too tight and it will get really hot and transfer the heat to the hub. Tighten the nut up tight, back it off and retighten a good hand tight and try it again with out the outer seal.

tire press for split ring install?

Make a ring that will fit in the center of the side wall of the tire. Make an X across with the ring and use all thread going through 4 of the lug bolt holes in the wheel. Tighten the all thread down until it pulls the tire bead in, place split ring on. Done. Sure the stock rim is wide enough...

    Poor mans wheel alignment

The way I do it is to jack up one tire at a time. Drive a nail into a 2 X 4 and place the nail on the tire tread and ground and spin the tire to scribe a line. Repeat on the other side. Measure up each tire as close to the center as possible and mark the tire on the line (same distance up on...

    Got my 395/85R20's today

Don't get me wrong, I like the look of my truck with the 395's. On the flats there is no problem but when it comes to any grade in the road the power drops. Here is a link to my rim build. It is really not hard. Even if you are not a really good welder I think you can do it. just need a grinder...

    Got my 395/85R20's today

Are you going to widen the rims or go custom? I can tell you that you will loose power with the tires. On the flats it will fly but on the hills you will slow way down. If you have a flat on the front runnin 55 it will really wake you up.

    BO switch

I pulled the 2 toggle switches from the M1009. The one with 6 leg looks like it works. Both of the ones with 4 legs will not stay in any position except for the center. Is this right or is it broken? Also which one is which? I am thinking 6 legs one is lights and 4 leg one is black out lights.

    1/4 trailer ID

I am trying to ID this trailer. I am thinkingBantam or Willys MBT. I can't find an ID plate. It has a top that is convertible to a camper trailer with cover. The top is removable and rests in the stake pockets of the trailer. I would say the trailer in pretty good shape for it's age. I would...

    Power loss W/395's

Well I had to turn the fuel down. I never knew I had a problem until I installed the pyro. It was 1,250 + on the hard pulls. I even saw it at 1,300+ a couple times. I am hoping I did not hurt the motor. If it is cold it is really hard to start now. With it floored and holding the starter it...

    Power loss W/395's

When I restored my truck I decided on the 395’s as they just look good on the truck but I am suffering from power loss. On the flats she will fly but pulling hills, even small ones there is a large power loss. I have thought about going to 14.5 / 20 to help out some. I have really been...
