Mep 802a bogs down when a/c circuit interrupt

Truly, its something you have to watch, and ask questions about, WHILE its happening before your eyes. I once, a long time ago, had to safety wire a plate to a Hawk launcher, with 22 bolts. When I was done, it was functional. But looked like crap. SSG Jack Young laughed at me and my work. Spit...

    802a Burned Wiring at J7/P7

It doesn't matter if its an old (00X) Fault Indicator or a new (80X) type. Same fault. Same reason. The old ones were very unreliable. But then we ran 24/7 and 365. We saw the faults that most would never see, because most people only turn it on when the lights go out.

Mep 802a bogs down when a/c circuit interrupt

    1. Do you have the proper wire plyers? 2. Practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3. Talk to a pro. Go to an aviation shop/hanger. Find an old Rotor Head mechanic. Or someone who has worked on Turbines. 4. Practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5. Get several different diameter wires. 🙂

MEP-003A stalling under high load test?

The fuel pumps should slow down when hooked to the IP. When first turned on, they should run faster, but slow down when they have charged the fuel system. Thats normal. And, as LITD wrote, ticking is not always pumping.

MEP-003A stalling under high load test?

Are the pumps the right pumps, and not just look like the right pumps? Unplug all three wires to the pumps. Turn the S1 to the AUX position. Test the three wires and find the hot wire. Plug it into the AUX pump. Turn the S1 to the prime/Run position. Test the other two wires. Both should have...

Mep 802a bogs down when a/c circuit interrupt

Have you done this? Do this check first. If the set starts up, runs and makes power, then turn it off. Remove the out put side terminal cover of K1, (AC output contactor), then remove the three output wires, L1,L2 and L3. Tape the ends up. Start the set. check that its making power, with a DMM...

    MEP803A S5 switch info

I got to thinking. Maybe I have one. So went out to the garage and looked. Nope, I have 8 or 10 of the 8906K4523 switches. Close, but no cigar.

    MEP803A S5 switch info

Why dont you start a parts wanted thread. This switch is used in many different generator sets. Maybe someone has a parted out set? Or tell me, and I can move this thread to the parts wanted forum.
