I just used a bolt and a couple of washers, didn't want it to be sucked in. I tested it last weekend after making a quick release for the intake mushroom and a block off. Major suction even at only 2k RPM. A rubber plug would get sucked right in, I'd think.

I have a friend who is selling a 4bt with a BW 4 speed trans. if anybody is interested. Includes a hydroboost system with master cyl. No intercooler. He was going to put it in a Jeep. In the Orlando area. I think he's asking $2K. Mods let me know if this post is in an unacceptable forum...

Any progress Ray? The second drawing that Doghead sent you seems to show a very shallow area where that could be seized. I'd try more penetrating juice in there. I saw you had done that already, but more is better, esp. under the grease just under that upper plate.
