    Air Brake Conversion....M818..?

Sounds interesting. If you plan on pulling a big trailer, you might also want to look at the NTC-400 and Allison tranny I have listed in the classifieds!

    tire diam?

    Here is a good rule of thumb (usually accurate within an inch or so) 9.00x20: 9" sidewall (bottom) + 20" rim + 9" sidewall (top) = 38" 11.00x20: 11" + 20" + 11" = 42" 14.00x20: 14" + 20" + 14" = 48"

Modded M1009s? (auction is finaly over)

Yeah, I agree with you. In this case, I think Doghead was simply saying it was 2200 miles one way for him so he did not bid.

    Tire choices for M818

I maintain a consistent 60 mph in my M818 with 395/85R20 tires. 14R20 tires should yield a few mph faster (at least on the flats and downhill runs). With 16R20 tires you could hit 70mph.

    Tire choices for M818

Even 14R20s can be too much tire for M809 series trucks. I highly recommend you take a look at 395/85R20 or 15.50/80R20 tires. 16R20 is a lot of tire for M818.

Tire Size Comparison 16 vs 14 vs 15.5

15.5s on HEMTT rims should be about 380#. Weights would be higher for 14s and 16s.

Looking for a trailer dolly to rent/borrow in Oklahoma.

You can certainly use my dolly here in OKC to get your trailer, but no way I am going to let you pull it and M373 with your 3/4 ton truck! That is crazy. You can use my M818 tractor if necessary or maybe M813A1 will haul it to you with a commercial rig (rental).

Whats the difference between the 1600x20 X and the 1600x20 XZL?

XL and XZL tires should be same width at the sidewall, but the XZL tires certainly look wider with the more blockly looking 4 lugs. Some of the military trucks that use the 16R20 are also authorized for 24R21 wide based tires.
