you can clean the threads easily. Ratched, deep socket, cutting oil. Thats it.

I'ordered the gaskets and cleaned the block first. All head bolts are rusted in, no chance to remove them....i've cleaned the whole surface around the bolts, 1 day work...after that i started to clean the bore, turned over and...
That was the reason for my decision....Jeep seats are much less contoured. Trial the Rampage Bucket seat , its availible trough Amazon and others..

Aftermarket Jeep seats are not equal, i've decided one that is very close...
More comfortable than stock is easy. I thought the bench is filled with a mix of potsherds and corncobs :mrgreen:

Aaron, with 2 buckets seats i'm in doubt about it....
The CJ seat is 23,5" wide (i assume they are all more or less the same) with seat belt...a second one the same...~ 10" left.
Maybe a bench off a Pickup....but if i remember correct even the passenger section is wider than a CJ bench.

If you plan to recover heavy vehicles, get yourself the FM 20-22 Vehicle Recovery Operations and TM-5-125 Army-Riggers-Rigging-Handbook . Very helpfull.
A winch truck and good equipment will help, too.
