So Cal CAMP DIRTBAG Spring run

That's Elise's camper. It will be getting a full build in the back before long. Have you tracked it's history? Are they from the same place? Maybe they will park side by side again one day. I'm recovering mine next tues, cargo bed w/ a S-280 in the back. Can't take being a passenger :-(...

    Flame heater

Thank you all for your wisdom and insight, or should I say photosite.[thumbzup] I feel much better about doing a recovery on this unit now. Will keep everyone updated as to how that goes.

    Flame heater

Not sure, I just saw it in the photo. Have not seen it in person. If it is gone and has open fuel lines what would be required to operate it?

    Flame heater

I've a question, looks like this engine is w/o the flame heater. So . . . does that mean it won't operate as is? Or, does it have some other kind of pre-heat? I've watched some of the things you eagle-eyed individuals have spotted in a photo, and I'm sure that I'll prob get more info than I...

    Trailer plug disassembly

Thanks, think I have one of these here. I'm sure it's easier. If someone was handing me one I would be happy to put it on, If I have to give money for it . . . well it'll have to wait in line. I've no shortage of things higher up the list asking for money to be spent on them.

    Trailer plug disassembly

I have a similar problem, the plug on our 105A2 has been pulled off the cable. Some of the pins are still in the plug end and the rest are on the cable. I've been wondering if I can put it back together, and if there's a schematic, or is it NOT do-able?

    GL-1 Gear Oil Alternative

    Going Single

We have been using ours, it's singled the same as yours, w/ stock 9.00 x 20 's first, coming down the mountain canyon after doing it (hauling a M105, w/o brakes, loaded w/ 3/4 cord of firewood and the other 4 wheels), and then she drove it down the snakey wash they call a road out here, to haul...

    Going Single

JesusGatos, you said that you had singled yours as well. Did you reverse the flanges, or are you still running them as they were? You've said that you are thinking of running it w/ what would have been the outside duelly config, are you going to flip the flanges back to stock? TM, your are...

    Going Single

That's been my thought as well (the part about flipping the wheels), . . . am I putting too much torque on something if I do that? What if I flip the wheels and leave the flanges as they are (changed for singles)?

    Going Single

We do wander about in the mountains, we do that mtn biking thing as well, and that's part of why I'd like to move the stance out a bit. Will def build this one like the other live-ins that I've done w/ most all the weight barely higher than two foot off the floor. So far, other than steering...

    Going Single

Have thought about that some, . . . we are going to change to wider, taller tires and I would like to put them on rims that aren't dished. That would give me back some of that width. Not sure what they would be at this point. Have also thought of flipping the wheels so that they are dished the...

    Going Single

Been getting our M109 ready for it's future as a live-in rig. One of the first things we wanted to do was to single it out and add some sound muffling. So we left here one morning and headed up the mountain a bit to our friends place, off-grid, no slab, and mostly hand tools. By the end of the...
