So, anyone else ever have their time delay module blow up during a drive? All of a sudden I had a puff of smoke by my windshield and the familiar smell of burnt electronics. Truck was a dog for the rest of the drive home because the fan was stuck on.
I haven't really been able to find an answer to this, which shock is the softest replacement for the rear (70,71,72)? One of mine decided it didn't want to keep it's fluid inside anymore, so I'm replacing both and don't want the back any stiffer than it needs to be.
Thanks,
Mike
While I was under the truck today making my usual sacrifices of blood and flesh I noticed some leaking on my transfer case. Does anyone have a quick and easy way for me to determine which transfer case I have so I can get to ordering new seals.
Thanks,
Mike
Hmm, well until someone who knows for sure replies I'm going to say it probably means that it had been checked and verified to have 0 items left in the demil process... But I'm just guessing here lol

Throw a meter on the batteries to see if you have juice. If you cooked them then just replace them. If that fixes it and you can start the truck, measure and see what voltage the alternator is putting out.

I had that happen on my back door. After I got the backing plate off I just heated it till it was red hot for a few min then clamped vice grips on the remainder of the screw and it came right out.

Diesel engines don't control the air going into the engine, only the fuel. Idle is pretty lean and goes richer the more you apply throttle. The more fuel, the hotter the burn.

*Some LEDs work great with 24v.
Look for ones that are 24v only. If you go for ones that say they are for 12-24, only get ones from reputable companies. Not all of them have active current regulators to deal with different voltages. I recently got one that went from around .3w at 12v to several...
Charging them is series is fine, that's how the vehicles charging system does it. It's best if they are both the same type and same age. If one battery is in worse condition than the other then you may get lower voltage on it, but battery position doesn't charge it more or less than the other...
