People have listings in the Classified. They can range from 3000-8000 or more depending on what's done and what you want. Do you want a project or a vehicle ready to go? Ask in the CUCV section, I am sure some guys will help you.
I don't think the frame will support the weight of the 400 without making it more beefy. The block is also longer and would have a hard time fitting it without making massive changes. You would be better off using a 5 ton (M923) model fitting that engine. I don't even think the 800 series...
You could go with Rapcoparts.com and use the Gillispie paint that matches perfectly with CARC for less than half the cost and buy enough to have extra incase of crashes. A lot cheaper and you still get the same look. The paint will also hold up. Just make sure to have it dry before adding...
On my Deuce I did the grill, front bumper and winch all black. Looks sharp. It all depends on what you like and if you are going for historic accuracy. Mine isn't historic, but it sure does look good!
OK I took some input and came up with a design. I could change it to add solid colors: green, brown, black, tan with black lettering. Let me know what you think. I believe t shirts would be around $10-12 before shipping if I order enough. Let me know what you think.
Thank you all for the kind comments. I did forget to mention we also purchased a MKT from John Lloyd with basically everything. We have bought some odds and ends since but we are looking to use it at military shows and car shows or local fairs throughout the summer.
