Did you put one on your M1010? If so I would appreciate any information on the parts from GM so that I can put it on mine. Think that it would be much cheaper and easier to get. Tom in TN

    fuel pump replacement

We just replaced the fuel pump pushrod (old one was broke in two). Seems that the engine is struggling to turn over now. What would cause this? When the old broken rod was in (we figured out the electrical problems) it turned over rather good. Now is seems to struggle. Tom in TN

New in TN Welcome aboard, We are in Jonesborough, have an M1010 that we are working on. Have had several problems over the past year after driving it up from AL. Think that I have something wired backwards right now as it kills the batteries the moment I turn the key. In any case, though I...

    Dead batteries

Tried to charge up the two batteries as well as jumping the front one (worked when the top alternatro fell out on way back from Al.) The gauge inside the dash did not go above the yellow so I suspecth that the charging system is still having problems. I had both alternators checked out and the...

Tried to charge up both batteries today. As soon as the glow plugs started to heat up it seemed that the relay became too hot to touch. Is this normal? Kille the batteries at the same time.

    M1010

Put a fresh known good battery in place of the one that has not been charged good. Checked the positions of the light switches and they were ok. Checked the voltage at the glow plug lines and it was 0. Still no lights at all. Think now that there may be fuseable link that feeds the fuse...

CUCV fuel filter base with wiring

Water In Fuel Indicator Thanks Jim, Found the manual version to drain the filter right after posting before. Just waiting for it to stop raining cats and dogs and will go see if it works. Do not mind being hit by the cats but the large dogs tend to hurt. Tom

CUCV fuel filter base with wiring

Water in fuel indicator On the same line I have a good question. Can the water in fuel light come on for any other reason besides water in the fuel? We ran my 1010 about half way from Alabama to TN running two tanks of fuel through it and the water in fuel light came on. Do not think that...
