NO TCM lamp? No shifting of the transmission, the lamp lit during startup is a “Hey, I see the TCM”
A lamp that doesnt extinguish while running, is a TCM that does not see the motor running…
check power to the TCM at the batteries
No one is counter fitting these tools or labels…it’s a surplus tool and probably surplus because “uhhh”, they were found to not work or were defective.
The part number is on the hose generally, at the component end…you won’t fine a shop that has those wonky ends AMG used.

Someone attempted to just buy and install a regulator not meant for that generator. Unplug that thing…you can still start the truck with the regulator.

yes, i made one years ago as a diagnostic tool, all you are doing is denying 12v with a simple switch. The second you touch the brake pedal, you deny the 12v thus unlocking the TC, as soon as you hit about 40mph, apply the 12v and you should see a drop in RPM.
