I often wonder if I should put new shocks on but honestly after all my travels I’ve never said in the moment “oh I need shocks” and when I do focus on it it rides quite well at almost 28,000 lbs. But always in the back of my head wondering. Mines a 2003 LMTV.

I totally understand as we make them more quiet the little noises start to bother us. Driving down the road can’t stop trying to figure out what the heck is making that noise. I had on in the AC unit that sometimes you could hear it when the fan speed...
I can definitely see on both of mine where the steel bushing on the bolt is rubbing on the large clearance hole caused by the rubber compressing over time. So where did you find new motor mounts?
I wonder who is buying all the crashed / parts trucks from govplanet. Some must be parting these trucks out.

That’s very interesting, so being guided by analysis you should know exactly how many miles you can go on the oil. I’m guessing you haven’t driven enough miles yet? Please share how many mile you do have on the oil and what the analysis says.
Oh my…..that looks horrible. Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with these. I can only say clean and remove all the rust and crud. Then start evaluating each piece.
With this latest oil and filter change I still use the cat filter but I switched from rotella t4 and 1qt of Archoil additive to only full synthetic rotella t6. My oil changes have been around 10,000. That’s about every 6 months.
I thought something was missing. So with that and I’m assuming you use full synthetic oil? What kind do you use? What are your oil and both filters change intervals?
I went with standard torque ratings for M8 bolts. For the filter housing and everything else is like alternator bolts and brackets I just tightened by feeling! LOL!!! Exhaust nuts tighten them really good too. 😂
