Howdy,
You also lose the conservative rating of 10kw 24/7. Like anything, you do not want to run a engine at absolute 100% all the time and expect it to run around the clock. Yes, I have put a serious load on my MEP-803A. A good solid 133% load. But, I am only following the instructions for...
Howdy.
The MEP-803A really did not need charging. I thought I would just hook up the Noco G7200 charger and let it sit and do its thing. After I hooked it up, the orange error light was blinking. (2 Optima REDTOP batteries) I found the batteries were sitting very nicely at 26.36 volts. So...
Howdy,
I have a few video which show the MEP-802A and MEP-803A running. I am not sure what your asking for. Here is a video clip working my MEP-802A loading 3 phase with the Essex load bank. Showing the amps per leg with each load change. You can hear what the engine is doing. Out of all the...
Howdy,
I am talking about the fuel return line.
Very low pressure braided fuel return line. The 3.5mm hose fits nicely on the tees and connectors and stays tight.
Howdy,
I have found a issue with Optima batteries in good shape. After coming back to charge the batteries, the NOCO G7200 freaks out because the voltage is above 24 volts. I have found if I run the priming pump some, it will take the voltage peak down. The G7200 unit will then go through the...
Howdy,
Has anyone come across a spin-on fuel filter which has the correct water drain fitting on the bottom?
All the others work for the job. I was just wondering why none of the aftermarket ones have the correct size fitting.
Howdy,
OK, The problem is the G7200 is seeing the voltage at or above 24v. If you want to use the unit to top off, or charge it up, here is the work around.
Put a load and draw down the batteries. For a minute or so. Turn on the headlights or something to put a load on the batteries. This takes...
Howdy,
Generator running by itself= ground rod, wire to ground lug, bonding strap in place (flat copper plate next to neutral lug)
Generator connected to house= bonding strap removed, all four wires connected to house. (single phase 120/240) The ground neutral bonding is already in place at...
Howdy,
OK, you did what I did. (3 finger grabber, screwdriver thru unit, a large strap wrench) But, I was lucky enough to finally get mine off after barrowing a small diameter metal strap wrench. I then had the new filter in place, but still had a seeping leak. I took the top panel off and got...
Howdy,
Some filters have been put on overly tight. I think maybe they even tightened the fuel filter even tighter on my MEP-802A unit thinking it would stop the small seeping leak. I totally destroyed the filter taking it off. I almost thought I was going to break something else. Anyway, after...
Howdy,
Separate power source (middle of field etc) then you have the ground bonding strap in place. The copper piece next to N ( L0 ) because you have a ground rod, and its attached to the ground lug.
If connecting to house, then you make use of the house grounding system, the copper...
Howdy,
After reading, reading, and more reading. I figured out my own ideas of loading and timeframes. The above 100% loading is very limited in time, and timing. I also only load over 100% with Battle Short on. If I hit overload, or something, I want power to continue to the load bank. I do...
Howdy,
No, I do not teach.
I do not like texting type answers. If you are going to give a answer, give a full and complete thought and add your experience and knowledge along with your answer. I read the manual when I first got the load bank. They really briefed over the connection...
