Steve and i havd this same conversation. Use 1.5 DOM tubing and bend flares that match the contour of the whole side of the bed's bottom edge but stand it off 8" and fill the rest in with plate. This will give you a walk way around your bed and fill it out to match the front fenders...
M114 track
This is M114 track. SECO in Augusta GA used to sell a kit for the rear of the M35. These sections bolt together and you must custom fit the last section for your application for length. $60 ea section is going rate.

OK got it done with the 46" XMLs
I completed the rest of the wheels and put the 46" XMls on the bobbed deuce. Then I decided to use the wood slats that are under the standard bed and put them under the M-105 bed. This gave me a spacer to allow for the rivet and bolt heads that stick up from...
They are Hemtt wheels (well a variant of) and I welded centers in the pilot hole to adapt them to the deuce. 20X10 and very heavy. They are lock ring wheels but the lock ring is "captured" once inflated so it can not blow off.
