I did the DIY4X spring plates in the rear. Also have 64” long rear leaf springs with the DIY4X 6” shackles and flip kit. I don’t have rear bump stops. The front has bump stops.
I was just thinking how close my new exhaust is to the tank. I’ll add some heat wrap and a stick on heat shield in...
The exhaust is done! I spared no expense on this mod and went all out!
Diamond eye down pipe modified with a 90 degree and 45 degree mandrel bend elbows and wrapped with heat wrap. The frame was notched slightly so I could keep the Oem exhaust heat shield on the firewall.
Diamond eye cross...
My problem is... I already have a Phantom 2 Tach gauge that is adjustable and it is already wired to the passenger alternator which shows 4000 rpm at idle. So I am looking for better signals.
I’m guessing it is a custom made or modified part. It would be interesting to see a write up on how to build these. I am guessing the company is no longer in business.
I plan on keeping the V-Belt set up.
I was searching the web and found a few images of a 6.2 diesel vacuum pump with a tach speed sensor.
Is this a part that can be ordered or is it custom modified?
My goal is too hook up my tachometer to a better signal but yet still keep the vacuum pump in the same location.
That comment made me butthurt! I work 14hour days, raise 2 kids and building a house. Where do I find time to do it all myself? Yes I know how. No I am not lazy. Yes I can afford to pay someone to do it for me. :) I come home every day from work so tired with Hydraulic fluid all over my clothes...
Copy that! Saving money is good! But I had to get it into the Exhaust shop today! They were booked out for months and I suckered up and bought pre rebuilt ones :-/ Buying the rebuild kits and rebuilding them myself would have set back the shop date months. HopefullyI’ll be driving her home next...
So both of my Isolated ground Alternators were toast. I had them checked at 2 places. I do have a spare non-isolated ground alternator I bought from Autozone that would work for the driver side. Part #DL7157 Pic 1-2. Current replacement price $120.
O’Rileys Autoparts was able to hunt down...
I know it’s been covered a million times but the threads I’ve read are confusing...
1. Some members say the driver side alternator does have to have an isolated ground and some members say it does not. What is the truth here?
2. Can someone post a picture of the back side of their Passenger...

It feels like there is more lag time or slippage between shifts. I have not made any vacuum adjustments yet so that could be the problem.
The Exhaust shop called and said they got a cancellation this Friday so I’ll be able to get it in a week earlier! :-)
Chevymike I guess I did post up the dash pics on Post #91 page 5 but not as many. Hope these pics helps you.
Come to think on it... I do actually have one complaint about the DIY4X dash...
Heater Core access! There is none! I will have to pull out 1/2 the dash to get to the Heater Core. So...
