this thread reminded me to change my filter. Have been using one for maybe 7-8 years. Filter was in my opinion very clean ( 4-1/2 years on it ) in comparison to my first one I changed similar to the one posted earlier.
Don't forget to flush heater core as it is a source of lots of mud also.
I...
Gave the truck come attention. Did an oil change, transmission spin on, and coolant filter changes. Fresh wiper blades and a new washer fluid switch. Sourced switch very reasonable from fellow member Suprman.
Power washed it and cleaned the cover using kaboom no drip foam which I have used...
I posted on a separate gulfway thread that they are switching to Haggerty.
My dilemma is traveler's is getting out of the market and not writing new policies. Haggerty and Chubbs won't touch me as I am parked in a driveway not garage/carport.
I would appreciate any leads on who you are using...
FWIW & YMMV
I have determined the following:
Traveler's is getting out of the Military/Antique/Collector's market. They are not writing any new policies. Existing policies ok till your renewal.
That is why Gulfway is switching to Hagerty.
My quote with hagerty was double the price and...
Stocking and selling battery acid is not any more difficult than selling wet cell batteries. Same shipping codes and hazmat procedures so I say BS to auto parts stores telling you otherwise. No more hazardous than a battery.
Napa does sell some dry batteries specifically low volume ones so they...
The one on the right is a newer one piece wheel that I have seen retro fitted on m149 water buffalo's and gen set trailers in current use that use the deuce pattern. Observed on many military trains as I live in a major conversion of various railroad lines.
The one on the left I have also...
Yup, I have found them reasonable and fair but not sure if this will be the same story with them using haggerty instead of traveler's.....
They could not tell me why they switched.
It does not require new holes except there are 2 small braces to the bottom of the c-pillar if I remember correctly that needed new holes.
Breton industries sells new. maybe they would ship as they are a military supplier and should be able to handle the logistics?
For those of us that had Gulfway policies underwritten by Travelers, I was informed today that Gulfway is changing to Haggerty. I had let mine lapse and went to renew and since it was more than 90 days, travelers said I had to work through Gulfway. I called them and they told me they have...
What others have said. If they are stacked up, expect them all to be bad. On the former gov liquidation, They would bait n switch and use the same "stock" picture with a nice tire on the top and scrap tires on the rest of the stack. Can not say about gov planet but many of us have been burned...
If you are getting a vibration/squealing while moving, other items to look at is driveshaft u joints, hanger bearing, temps at each wheel hub/box including fluid level, differentials etc.
Can you isolate the speed when heard? Do you feel vibration?
