Rotting Gold
Had to post pics of the latest parts search. Found some cool stuff....and some things that I wish I found earlier....before they began to rot. Apparently everything is for sale.
Canadian content escort
In all hopes that the M135 will be hiway ready I would be honored to be a Canadian escort through Alberta if the convoy comes this way. Plenty of safe 4 lane hiways through the prairies.
If the M135 doesn't get herself together I will commit an M1010 full of guitars and...
The $10,000.00 dollar leaf, a fly and a seed
I'll tell you a story of a 10G leaf.
An associate told me of a friend of his that had an expensive truck. One day the motor starved itself of fuel. After some time sitting waiting for a tow truck, the truck started and ran fine for a few days.
This...
Fall color fishin
Got to rip around in the 6x again and take her down to the lake for some fishin. The fall colors up here are so amazing I had to share the pics.
New exhaust and U joints
I ordered up a bunch of parts from Brian A. out of Ontario and happily received several 'new' OS, well packed boxes last week.
In the mean time the boys from Specialty Truck Products hammered through the U-joints and replaced 2 of the worst. I had to put a picture up...

I'm out West as soon as the Frost hits.....I need some ocean.....When it gets closer I'll PM you an itinerary and get out there to see the toys.

Out the door
Finally, fuel tank freshened up and bolted on. All fluids dumped and new lube everywhere.
Drove her out the door tonight and next door to someone with more time and tools.
Brakes, exhaust, lights, box and more seals, I'm sure, is all that's left.....right?

ID Question
Finally got back at the M135 and every time I touch it I learn something new.
A number appeared on the dash when we started to clean some rattle can paint off.
Is there any way to track this serial number and learn more about this truck?
Using "Goof off" to clean it up started...
June 6
June 6, an amazing day in history. It may be the most significant day that allowed me to lay under an old truck in a dusty shop and drain more fluids.....Kokanee to be specific.
For all those past and present in the military.......Thank you for doing what you do!
Not much progress...
Had to get a picture. Parkzone makes an amazing corsair electric and when I saw the thread just had to post the picture. 19's my favorite #
How bout a corsair on an M1010
or a corsair on a messershmitt on an M1010
Dave, you gotter.....this is half way through......but even after another coat it's not perfect, but she's friggin beautiful. I was 12hrs straight through, in a mask applying paint and that was enough for now. She's covered up enough to take 'er in public, in the bush, in the mud and parade...
6 hr prime
We cheated and taped dash and important other items so we could get a little more primer preservation to places that might not see removal for a few years.
Prepped the truck with cab open, windows open and with nothing else to do for six hours, started spraying.
If you ever do...
M135 Paint Scheme
Had a rain delay priming the M135 this weekend so it allowed more time to think about paint schemes........which is bad.
There's as many options as there are people so I thought I'd throw it out there.
What would everyone do if they could choose the paint scheme for their...
now i need more stuff
Got at the M135 CDN with grinders last night. The body is all good with the exception of the rear window and slider channel. While cutting rusty parts out......the gas tank started leaking.
This girls got a personality because instead of exploding she let me know with a...
