    So Power Switching...

Rgr all. I have a little battery and tray for my genset (it's actually a BAPU battery charger with a 6KW gen head installed...overkill I know, but I can power my house with it from the truck). It's hooked up to the truck batteries (being 24v). Long ago I had settled on 24V in the hab but I...

Is there a consensus on cab floor sound / heat shield?

You may want to price making your own. The shop that does my sewing gave me a $50 quote on stitching (there are really just the two seams at the engine cowling). https://cabinsulation.com/floormats.html

    So Power Switching...

*the reason I think this is viable is that I rarely will be anywhere camping that has shore power

    So Power Switching...

Yeah, this is what I was originally going with. Just a simple 3-way manual switch. But then I got to thinking an automatic switch would be nice to incorporate. I figured it would either require a 2-way manual combined with a 2-way auto in some fashion. I've no idea if there is such a thing...

    So Power Switching...

I'm starting to gather the bits I need for plumbing and electrical. I'll have 1) shore power 120v, 2) generator pushing 120v to the hab (the gen also has 240v for my welder should the need arrise), and 3) battery/solar. I have my mind wrapped around the concept of an automatic switch, but I...

Looking for a manufacturer of this "grommet" type of stuff

I've found it in a few frame openings as well. It's good to have anywhere an airline might chafe.

Truck won’t start and transmission pad not lighting up

What year truck? A1's have a battery disconnect that will kill the works.

Issues with 3-piece runflats installed incorrectly?

You got a spare on the truck. Roll with it ! j/k I'd have them done right if time allows

    M1082 trailer brake release

An F450 can pull it of course, but it's a tough call. Getting caught w/o brake is likely more than just a slap on the wrist, though (never looked up the penalty, but I hate to admit that I have done it...twice). Both my M1082's were recovered (one 400 miles; one 100 miles) with no brakes...

    M1078 LMTV Fix-up Thread

I have a set that needs balance and a single (rear) that needs a total rebuild. Looking at options to get it done. We *used* to have several local driveshaft shops, but they are long gone. The places that I've contacted all farm it out. I need to reach out to SA or HOU I suspect.

    LMTV help with hood-cab release

I may be mistaken here, but I'm thinking that the cab lock won't release w/o hydraulic pressure present. The little red tit indicator on then latch will pop in/out.

Axle Shaft removal for towing FMTV

I know. And I used on for the last LMTV recovery with no issue. :) And I have one that is missing feet (which is no longer an issue so I can toss a set on it and find it a new home). But this is mostly for moving trucks around the yard and flat towing my prerunner to the beach. Will suit...

    LMTV help with hood-cab release

Where exactly is the leak? Typically, it's at the truck-side (not cab) and you can see it misting out. Here's the kit if that is where the leak is: https://advancedautomotion.com/shop/product_info.php/products_id/804/osCsid/6rlh4teo5st96gbng9hb3urn77 To raise you cab, fill the lower...

    Stowage Extension

Picked up a couple of these for $150. One will be for the rear deck as needed for roadtrips. Intentions are this can be swapped to the front as well (using a dual receiver-type mount). I love re-tasking stuff and not a civilian in the world will likely ever know that it didn't come with the...
