Slightly off but related, I need to run a backup strobe and alarm to my M1082 trailer that I drag to the beach. I'm pretty good about tossing a radio to someone to spot me if I'm backing around to position at little events out there but doing it at night always makes me nervous.
I think most...
Yep
Still, you can get a stepdown off Amazon for under $50. I'm sure there is one out there than can handle the amps.

The OEM backup light was placed on the driverside rear bumperette. I always replace them with a flood and then tap in a backup alarm.
Let me see if I can read a wire tag, else it's in the TM schematic I'm sure.
This might be an option but I don't know the specs offhand. They are designed to lift the rear armored door on an MRAP so I assume it can handle the cab.
Bonus: It has a manual backup built-in.
They've been flowing off GP for weeks and I think it would work. Some scalper looks to be hoarding...
I've seen four M1095's sold in the past (and two of them were wrecks).
Compared to a thousand M1082's sold.
So they are in the realm of "Unobtainium" rare...
Also keep in mind that most things you can just walk onto a stealership and drive/tow away are mostly built on the inside with staple guns. So yeah, that stuff ends up at floor level pretty quickly off road.
But at the end of the day, if you want it done "right" you do it yourself.
;)
Negative
Identical through out. My AO 1078, A1R 1079, and both models of the trailer....all the same. I'm pretty certain that even the up-armored cab trucks run the same frame rail specs. All part of the "modular" concept.
Put a tape to it and it would fit w/o issue.
The trailer obviously have a has different CoG, so the load is shifted aft more over the axle as one would expect. But just as with the 2.5t truck beds, the trailer bed sits atop the same two-beam configuration. With the bed removed, the only...
Are you sure that the new controller is compatible?
I read somewhere that you can't put an A1R controller on a A0 truck.
You don't have a modified psi sensor installed (the poor man's higher psi controller mod).
I'll be working out front tomorrow and my 1079 and one of my 1082's are next to each other.
I'll have a look to see if it would actually fit with no other mods (beyond adding the lower captured spring mounts/retainers).
I've seen plenty of S280's chained to the bed but those are a tad shorter...
You are showing the default (driving) configuration there.
The "Cab - Push and Turn" inflates the airbags for the cab suspension. If you have leaks in the airbags or the associated lines there will be leaks of course. Leaving that knob "out" will cutoff any leaks in that part of the...
You can find them at auction at times. The OEM were rubber, but I've seen them made of wood.
Surplus can be found, but you can find the exact same OEM rubber ones on the civilian market (just look for the RV/semi truck size, not passenger vehicle).
This is what I use...
Pull a sample from the sample port under the cab.
You should be able to tell what's in there.
As to what to use, I live in the south where it's hot year-round. My trucks have all run 15w40.
