LMTV Backup Hand Hydraulic Pump Questions.

I only learned that they shared the upper reservoir after wondering where all the fluid was going as I filled it (I had left the manual pump reservoir below uncapped). :)

LMTV Backup Hand Hydraulic Pump Questions.

The upper tank behind the cab will fill to the lower. I typically work my way between the two, filling and bleeding. Fill from the top and once it starts out the hole on the lower (use a bucket), plug the lower. Work the manual pump to work any air out of the system. Keep the upper tank...

    60,000 BTU heater in M1079

Nice adaptation. It still sounds like a jet engine? Mine is so loud I can't hear the TV when it's running. If I can get mine sorted out, I may keep it (but it's going to take a ton of soundproofing).

    60,000 BTU heater in M1079

I think it would heat my garage in the winter. So tiny house, sure... The only reason it has such short cycles is that it's a blast furnace that reaches temp far faster than it can cool. But it's just doing what the thermostat tells it.

    60,000 BTU heater in M1079

Rgr all. Fortunately I prefer my little electric over the Hunter. My diesel gen is loud enough w/o an enclosure still, but add in a blower that will drown it out (unless you do quite a bit of plugging and insulating because the blower is LOUD). ;)

    60,000 BTU heater in M1079

Mine has that Hunter heater and I've slept in the hab before. In sub-zero it works quite well. It's still a bit of overkill if you plug an insulate the other two front/upper sections. But I was in there this past week several times while we enjoyed our first winter in S. Texas (thanks for the...

    Aftermarket CTIS covers for FMTVs

I've posted HET covers in previous discussions. Just another example of the same concept. *not 14 ga You could come off four of the hub bolts by welding another bolt to the head facing outward. It would remove the weight/need for standoffs, moving some added mass to the center, though. Not...

    AC Option?

Me neither. Working on a fully automated point defense turret. :)

Worth it or not- snow chain tightener Chain Dawg

Austin won't be inhabitable for about 80 years. Because...reasons. Hippie eradication is a long-term process. The new capital will be in Luckenbach. :)

    AC Option?

Yeah, I remember you posting pics of that when you got it I think.

    M1088 camper conversion

You should see *my* welding ! LOL I can't say for sure, but I'm not certain that is a weld. Look closely at the base. Some kind of molding process is present at the bottom (and may explain the oddness at the upper seam). Maybe an external secondary layer of tank that encapsulates a...

    LMTV pulls an Unimog out

Rgr that. I was wondering if it ran to the second Mog but I couldn't make much of it from the short glimpse. Thanks

    LMTV starter question

I don't have kid's though. And I don't think you can trade for them any longer (it's like frowned upon or something). ;p

Worth it or not- snow chain tightener Chain Dawg

In the old-school biker tradition, I've traded for a six-pack and a carton of smokes before. Waste not, want not as we say down here... ;)

So *that's* where they got them. <cough> OP

Worth it or not- snow chain tightener Chain Dawg

I painted this on my truck during the election. I don't do political signs in my yard, but I do love to screw with my neighbors. And I got some shear terrorized looks at traffic lights *(depending on the car's bumper stickers). LOL ;)
  20. Third From Texas

    LMTV starter question

My back hurts just thinking about having to hand crank a big diesel. I know it uses a huge reduction, but....nope. I have more than enough ways to hurt myself with these trucks. :)
