    Driveline question...

I don't think the brace was ever implemented? The "D" stamp is as good as it got until the issue was fixed with the A1R trucks (ie: the same rear end assembly as the 5-tons leveled out the propeller shaft angle).

    Wheel Covers / Rim Protectors

I didn't even bother to trim mine. It only takes a minute to remove the covers and I really can't say that I've ever had to access the valve stem or CTIS assembly. They were thrown away in the field, I hear. Motor pool didn't want to mess with them. You could find them at auction for $80 a...

seven for sale in one lot in Sierra Vista AZ

I'd say it's pretty close after you factor in the additional 20% for fees and registration. A couple of those trucks had very low use (part or IT unit of Northrop Grumman iirc). No AC or anything special so I'd put an A1R in that condition at around $20K ballpark. I want to know what was in...

MV Addiction filled. Reis the Beast M1078A0 is born

Oh yeah it is. As much fun as the 6" Velcro that was glued all over my cab and skirted my M1079 box. Here are some of the things that I've used with varying results: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QCYQJI/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_10...

    LMTV's show me your WINCH

Sweet looking roof rack, as well. I'm looking to do something akin to the the way you protected those top corner lights (the IbisTeks I'm mounting rotate like those and are about that size).

I saw that and thought "I wonder how long will it will take Geo to spot that and start asking questions> LOL

    A/C new install

I'm kinda surprised that the gen2 kits hadn't ironed out these sort of issues. I've been going back-and-forth with just building a system from scratch or using a surplus kit for simplicity. I know all the bits that I need, and where I can get the civilian equivalents but I figured that the...

    Buzzer with volume control?

Not when you leave them on and don't turn (ie: lane change, etc). LOL

    Buzzer with volume control?

I'm just the opposite. If I leave my turn signals on going down the highway one more g*********d time, I'm installing a beeper. LOL

    Buzzer with volume control?

Not intentionally while on a patrol or convoy, I would think. That's silliness for back a base. Heh You drain them of air to prevent water from condensing in the wet tank/system. I't not going to hurt things to let them sit for a few days even in the most humid of climates. But draining air...

    Buzzer with volume control?

Pretty much every truck I've ever seen had the buzzer taped. I like his solution as a replacement for the tape. Other discussion stuff not applicable. ;p

    M1078 Starter Replacement

I need to pull mine. It was rebuilt by the PD that sold it to me. But every time it rains, it drags or just clicks at the solenoid. I looked all over for a short until I finally noticed where someone had been smacking it with a big hammer or small sledge. Tapping it works, so I figured...

    M1079 weight of box

That's what the specs on the web say. I kind of chuckled when I saw the placard on my M1079 box. No idea how that was calculated. *see image above

    Could be.

Look at the difference when all of the running and tail lights are replaced

It's just the angled brace. It' looked like something else in the fisheye photo. Thanks
