Just checked what that means. The pressure-regulated version (works also at lower rpm) or the fixed hole version (a lot cheaper but works only good at higher rpms)
Thanks for the interesting replies.
Here is the link to that post of Cranetruck.
And another interesting thread. This one mentions Telma retarders, which I was reading about also.
I read about Jake breaks and exhaust brakes. Can't find that article back, but I think it mentioned that an...
With the older 5-tons (m39 and o00 series), there is an ongoing discussion if and how to make the single brake system in a dual circuit, to help avoid catastrophic loss of brake power.
I am looking into it again, and ran across the hydraulic or electric (mag) retarders as additional brake...
Probably testing if they can get them back quick and dirty on the cheap from the mainland once Brexit goes ahead. Or maybe they want to defend the entrance to the canal tunnel on the French side.
Not a gunman, so I had to look it up again, but his was a combination gun with two barrels, shotgun over riffle (I think). You are talking about a drilling gun with three barrels; two shotgun barrels next to each other and a riffle barrel in the middle underneath it.
I was working as assistant with a guy from the University of BC along Alaska Highway Mile 422 in 1981. After the 5 months were up, I took some vacation there with my then-girlfriend in a 25 year old Austin Westminster. Turned into a parking place along the AH one evening and saw something moving...
bump
I really want to see some pics. Have been working around Mile 422 Toad River Lodge for 6 months in 1981 and dreaming to go back to drive the Alaska Highway again. Until then, pics from others have to do, so please humor me and others waiting for the pics.
Thanks, this is very important information, I did not know you could not /should not tow full-air trailers with a multi-fuel. Does this go also for the M52A2 or does the tractor version has more air?
I checked the ...10 manual but could not find that reference.
In short: legally and safely outside your own private land: NO
My M51A2 has been made street-legal for the European Union with both a modern "fish mouth" trailer coupling (pintles are not allowed in Europe) and a fifth wheel (I can switch the dump bed for a fifth wheel and back). I can legally...
Maybe for the moment, forget about the BUMP thing. It looks that you started out with multiple problems and this bump may or may not have been the final bump that started the house to fell down, exposing different problems while doing that. Like breaking an already corroded wire inside the...
The new and old credence is
nopics
There are not enough pics of old dumpers in repair or in action.
Welcome back from a fellow dumper (mine is waiting repairs, simply no space and money at the moment).
Certainly if its a tractor - trailer rig. What about this. Combo's are ok but for the nominating picture as contestant the trailer has to be empty. Afterwards, during campaigning, you can put whatever you want on it, and show that as campaigning.
It is true that the combination of truck trailer AND attracting - interesting load on top of the trailer gives an unfair advantage and its not clear where you are voting for.
I would say, the Tatra with the UN container attached is still just on the good side of the edge. The UN container...
No whining please.
Some more pics of the UN container on the Tatra.
The interior is largely original, including the fuel heater that gets the fuel from the jerrycan. In front of the heater and power equalizer will be a movable bed so the container can be used as mobile home.
Just...
Maybe people missed the thread due to the migration to a new provider.
Well, the Tatra migrated to a new provider as well, to start a second youth. So please step up to the plate people and give Rusty Loads Tatra some votes for effort and aesthetics
We'll try, need a few more votes for the Tatra; we really need to honor this double foreigner effort.
A next career as movie prop, with guns on top and moving nuclear waste.
Next time some pics on the UN container.
Do we get extra points for promoting the voting thread?
