a long time neighbor told me the land belong to a big time horse owner.. racing horsed was the most that he had... he had a old time cowboy type man living in the now gone house trailer.. and when he had a horse that needed some down time and some nursing he brought it to this place and the man...

needs some TLC to say the least... under 1K for sure but he might be stuff with a inflated price.. dont forget what you can get for scrape iron . so keep that in mind ... scrape thinkin it would bring 600 or so? 100/ton is the going rate at home
i sure will ill take some pics this coming week .. its yellow but need to clean it up and paint it od... i dont know the weight but i was told it was the original duece tow bar from the 50s. looks just like the med with the adjustable legs and takes the same ends but lighter in weight meaning...
i to am trying to get all the parts together.. i have a couple spare snatch blocks for the wrecker an some axle clamps selling for another member... i do need one more of those super large pins that hold the spades in the sockets. if anyone know of a source to locate those.
i have the good old med tow bar that is great an heavy for most of the stuff. but i have a old type early duece light duty adjustable tow bar that i really like... not as heavy so i can move it around pretty good.
just because the price runs up dont mean someone knows something about the truck that would mean its worth more.. some of my best trucks were the cheaper ones
i have looked at all the pages of tms showing all the tools for a 816 and those are not in the offical lists... looks like it was a left over peice of equipment the soldier on that wrecker thought he could use again. there were some rope with blocks n tackle .. i thing there were for something...

i spent 5 or so hours in the parish seat(like a county) as the city records were gone... they only showed the 1935 map where 100 plus acres were in one persons posesion.. an afterward that portion was anexed into the city limits there no longer had to show any new land exchanges is what i was...
i did buy a ford dana 60 rear end like that one time... it was just over the ditch in someones yard and the man sitting on the gas meter told me 10 bucks... and he helped me load it up.. later i found out the person that lived there wanted to know who stole the rear end out of her yard:oops:
