i to would use the outriggers to lift many loads and they are a pita but worth it as long as i didnt have to use them every day. i havnt lifted up much weight except to haul 5tons and dueces from GLs yards. and a couple duece cabs and beds

my wrecker right now has the wrong ip in it came off a cargo. so i too run my crane at idle. i recently located another pump the correct pump. so later this year ill cnange it out. so i hope that will make mine run better. i avager between 4.5 and 5 mpg on mine, madsam did it make any difference...
i love my 816 with 1600s but i have never had it offroad except in the yard. one day ill be hoping for a trip offroad to recover someones lost truck in a mud bog. ill be sure to take a camera for some pics. right now its major use is taking parts off some 5tons
the thing that jumps at me and is over looked many times is the square washer in top of your fuel filter. it must sit in the square hole for that o ring to seal. take a look see that little booger sucks just a little air and will drain all the fuel back into the tank. keep us posted on what you...
