If you look carefully, I made a tie down for it out of rope, a carabiner an a eye loop mounted to the bumper before driving. I have a buddy looking for the actual clip/rope for me... I set it to the height of my convoy lights so I'll be able to tell if what I'm coming up to is too low...

I've found it easier to use the grab handle as opposed to the bracing rod to open the hood. Of course this depends on your height. (I'm 6'1") and weight (I'm 240)

Your best bet is to start an intro thread for yourself and also a thread in the generator section. That way your question isn't lost in the noise....
