Absolutely. Spend some time with the manual or online learning the functions and you'll be AMAZED at how awesome a tool it is!

Jack the truck up on that side and shake the tire is the easiest way. If it's loose.... start there.

Check your steering linkage, ball joints etc. It may be loose and you have a wheel "drifting". Not a good situation.

My troubleshooting life got SO much easier when I learned to use a meter!! Not just for resistance... learning about voltage drop, the relationship between volts and amps vs watts etc has helped make electricity make sense instead of being PFM... (Pretty Freaking Magical)...

As much as it sucks, if you repair as stated above, wear long sleeve shirt and pants... nothing itches worse than fiberglass threads in your skin.

In regards to removing the fender to repair the hinges: if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right... Just my 2cents
