What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I’m running those Corbeau Moab’s as well (see pictures above). I’m a fan, they don’t offer amazing lateral support (not that the HMMWV really needs it) but are quite comfortable. However, after reading the above post about welding supports, I’ll say that one of the biggest benefits is the...

HUMVEE Speedometer - Removing Old Decals

I figured I'd put this here, rather than starting a new thread- How much jumping/fluctuation do you guys experience with your cable driven speedometers? I see about a 1/16-1/8" wobble on my needle pretty consistently and am curious as to whether or not this is normal or something I need to...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I spent a couple days banging out the Tractor Supply 3/4" horse stall mats for the center tunnel. The detailed cuts took quite a while, but it looks pretty nice. There is a bit of intentional overlap in spots to try to direct rain that leaks through, I'm planning to test that out this...

Clunk when changing direction at low speed

Took a few days of poking around and I found the source of the sound, turns out I was way off as far as location. The sound is coming from the brakes, there is an almost imperceptible amount of wobble in the carrier, but it makes a pronounced clunk when wobbled by hand. All the bolts are...

Clunk when changing direction at low speed

I've been chasing this sound for a few weeks now, it's a thunk/clunk sound coming from around the transfer case to the rear of the HMMWV. It happens when I'm making a 90 +/- degree turn , left or right, at neighborhood speeds, for example when pulling into my driveway. I've checked all the...

    Excessive Run Temp HMMWV

Have you hit the thermostat with a IR Thermometer to confirm temps on the gauge? From those symptoms, that would be my first guess.

Take pics of the process, if you would. I'm going to tackle this next week!

    Countersunk bolt removal

You’re approaching removal wrong- there is a nut on the underside. You need to free that if you want to remove it. You might get the head loose, but it’s just going to spin until the nut is removed from beneath the tub. The penetrating oil isn’t going to do anything from on top as it’s not...

M1123 shows to be a different length?

Winch and Airlift bumper are the reason for the difference.

    Countersunk bolt removal

If those are like the ones on my HMMWV, hitting the nut on the underside got them freed up pretty easily.

If you’re not sticking to OEM parts, I rehabbed my HVAC setup in that spot on my M1123 (A2) with the original insulation, some HVAC grade foil duct tape and this- POWERTEC 70241 Heavy Duty 2-1/2-Inch x 10-Foot Flexible PVC Dust Collection Hose with 2 Key Hose Clamps, Clear Color...

    Replacing the HMMWV Seats

They actually fit onto the existing holes from the MME Rear covers. The fronts were direct bolt in, too, IIRC. It was a tight fit in some spots, but the whole install took a hour or so. Very straightforward.

    Replacing the HMMWV Seats

I have a set of the Corbeau Moab seats and center bench. They’re not the most durable material, but are quite comfortable.
