We have a clunky noise that I am yet to locate on the drivers side. It almost sounds like something is able to slide/swing side to side, though will also clunk over certain terrain variations.
We can make it sound while driving down a county road and steering side to side. And it clunks going...
Thank you. We'll be doing the fronts and it helps to see your experience.
One question on the rears: I didn't see any RTV in the half moons? Did I miss it? You are definitely cleaner than I am while working–
The IFS is the high pressure filter on the HEUI output? Since I haven't kept up on this issue: filtering after the HEUI pump is better than before? or simply the best place to add a secondary filter?
Next question is for the time and money, isn't replacing the oil filter housing gasket best...
Thank you @Keith Knight, and everyone else for thoughts and questions. While I would prefer not to do this you have pointed out that for some time and a couple hundred dollars this is a maintenance task level project.
Where did you find torque specifications and such? I recall having books...
Reviewing the CAT documentation I have located so far states that in North America Low Sulfur Diesel and Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel grades 1 and 2 meet CAT's specifications and to buy from reputable fuel suppliers. The operation manual for your engine has more specific information, (available for...
I am no machinist, though it struck me the same way. The gouges are running perpendicular to the rotation, not with it. Those didn't happen inside a spinning PTO–
Our 3126b originally configured at 275hp does not have the barometric pressure sensor. My casual studies suggest a 330hp 3126b does. The code in our unit showed after flashing the ECM for 330hp. The pressure reading is unchanging.
Perhaps we had the code before, though I am pretty sure not...
As I recall, if you don't have 15, ECM has a default static barometric pressure.
If you recently reprogrammed ECM it is looking for sensor and not finding it, (error code), though still using statice default pressure—
I believe the CAT part numbers are one number different—
When I look at our ECM using Dearborn or CAT ET software our's shows how much fuel used and mileage all time. So, in Bluefire our Average Fuel Economy is only 4.6mpg. I don't wish the reset the lifetime numbers, though not entirely useful.
In Bluefire I have tried using the trip distance...
I did ignition, though as I am cleaning up the cab interior and adding another fuse block for power doors and windows on the driver's footkick, Bluefire will be constant, too—
