    Truck-Lite Headlights

Yep. I'll do what I can. Only been on this project since 2010. It might be a little while before I can post photos of the beam pattern.

    Truck-Lite Headlights

I had to do it. Just now purchased a pair on Amazon. I'll have to admit, this CUCV sickness is very debilitating. Thanks for the replies.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Finished installing the main parts of the Supercharger. The intercooler is an ambient pressure closed coolant system. The switch-operated 24v pump will mount on the driver's side inner fender and circulate 9.7 gallons-per-minute of 50/50 Prestone through the heat exchanger in the intake and...

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

Now that I have the intercooler as far as I can take it until the inner fenders go back on, I have turned my attention to finishing up the minor things on the engine. I had to remove the supercharger in order to install the rear air inlet housing to the blower. The housing is attached to the...

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

Today I'm working on the intercooler system for the Supercharger. I mounted a Hayden #1268 intercooler in the only place in the grille it could be mounted. The #1268 is the only intercooler I could find which incorporated 3/4" piping throughout to accommodate the 3/4" I.D. hoses from the...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

You can take a small die grinder and remove the outer lip of the spinning rivnuts and then simply push it inwards to expose the hole. Then just install a new Rivnut in the same hole. So easy a Cave Man can do it.

    6.2 timing issue

Most everyone here on SS freely shares information for the purpose of assisting other SS members, as evidenced by the five responses to your original question. Yeah, there are a few freeloaders, but it seems all forums have those folks lurking in the shadows. If you have the expertise to...

    Glow plug solenoid wiring

Because I removed the OEM resistor bank on the firewall to prevent a cascading glow plug failure event.

    6.2 timing issue

No disrespect meant to the OP, but there's no doubt in my mind the issue is caused by a defective pump. Your original 2829 pump is worn out and the seals in your 36-year-old "NOS" 1989 pump are dried-out and shot. Nobody wants to spend several hundred dollars for a pump rebuild, and will dance...

    Glow plug solenoid wiring

Here is a fresh photo of my relay. I had previously removed the glow plug resistor and can't remember if that procedure required any of the wires to be moved. Hope this helps.

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

The Supercharger intake is an aluminum casting that bolts to the rear of the blower and turns towards the fresh air opening in the core support on the passenger side. I'm using an inline air filter which attaches to the casting, and a flexible duct from the air filter to the fresh air opening...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Got all the ancillary systems completed on the driver's side of the new drivetrain prior to re-installing the inner & outer fenders next week.

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

Today I was finalizing small tasks around the engine compartment prior to re-installing the inner & outer fenders next week. I fabricated & installed an aluminum post bracket & clamp to hold the new accelerator cable away from the Spinner centrifugal oil filter, as well as to maintain the cable...

Im looking to buy a m1008 cucv

Guys, by now we've probably scared the OP to death. The reference about sending the kidney probably finished him off. Y'all might have noticed that he hasn't re-posted beyond his original post. I regret having to subject a potential new CUCV owner to such stark comments, but the harsh reality...

    Best Battery Opinions

Just couldn't resist. Got the Hawkers ordered through my company. Saved approximately $206 under the cost of the same battery with an Odyssey label.

Im looking to buy a m1008 cucv

Vanaisa, the OP indicated that he wanted a M1008 for a Daily Driver and to pull 12-16 foot cargo trailers. That is entirely different than your situation with your M1009. You indicated that you put 23,600 miles on your vehicle in 8 years. Hmmm.... that means that you are averaging...
