They do multiply, I started with a Deuce; then along came a few trailers. Then a LMTV showed up & more trailers. Last count was a dozen trailers with no end in sight.
I put 3/4" insulation board under the cover & on top of the supports in all the military trucks & trailers. This way, there are no pockets to hold water or debris. Then I cover some of the trailers with a silver tarp, which usually lasts a year if I am lucky. The rest of them, are parked close...
You have a good looking truck, but it is a puzzle that needs to be put back together. I wonder why they disconnected those items & threw them in the back of the truck? At least they didn't throw them away. Good luck on putting her back together again.
You now belong to the LMTV & it demands a steady diet of attention, $$$ & gives you back both happiness & aggravation. Nice looking truck, seems like you found a great shipping company. Post up your trials & tribulations of getting her ready & road worthy. Don't forget more picture as you go...
GL was open for business, I dropped by to pick up a couple of triwalls. Then went back to work to watch the swearing in ceremony live. The rest of the day was work as usual; except that we have a NEW President that I have been waiting 8 years for. :D:D
I have been able to back this trailer with a large ZTR mower because you can forsee & counter its moves as it makes them; reason being is that the ZTR mower can instantly turn any direction you need as long as you have the HP to move the trailer. The ZTR mower makes a good yard dog & mows a LOT...
If I have to back up the M32K-4A, it is disconnected & pulled to the rear area with a small tractor or truck (or even by hand if unloaded). Then it is reconnected & go on forward to the next destination. You can't push a chain or a rope, neither can you back up these trailers with a large...
Most of the stuff I want to sell, like a heavy modular towbar system is already in the truck ready to go, so I guess I will just see you guys there in about 42 wakeups!
My kids fell off & the car behind me ran over them.....
Just being sick.
I have towed M105A2 trailers with a Toyota Tacoma 4WD truck for 80 miles with no problems on recovery. Longer distance is no problem as long as you watch the texters ahead of you & the people who fly by & turn right...
You, Sir are one determined individual. Kudos to your endeavor, neither ice, snow, rain or dark of night has stopped your desires on getting the Deuce back home. What a trooper. Pics when you thaw out in February.
I have recovered military trailers that have these things on them, including the RFID device attached to them. Some depots have a RFID scanner that you drive thru that actuates the device for the scanner to read. There have been auctions on GL that sell the RFID units....NO SALE for this lot...
When I first got my truck, one of the posts on the battery polarity device had the nut loose on the stud. You could move the cables, when I tried to tighten the nut, no way as the threads were ruined. I tried to remove the nut, but that just broke off the stud, leaving a short functional stud...
I bought my M1081 & thanks to Jwade here, got my Florida title. I took the Florida title to the local DMV & got it transferred into my name with no problems, but they did fine me for taking over 30 days(another story for another day). They did warn me not to change the paint scheme from as it...
Any good machinist will tell you that a reamer is for opening up holes, some precision, some some rough. Taps come in three basic sizes; starter, taper & bottom. They are designed to remove metal, to cut threads in the base metal, but can remove carbon deposits. Unless you are quite skilled with...
