    Yes I would get the complete cable assy and replace it. Just a new core cable may not fit the other casing.

    Yes you press out the old ring and press the new end in. May put it in the freezer for some time and it should press in easier.

    On the A2's there is one mounting bolt inside the pto.

    I do know there is one mounting bolt inside the PTO you have to take lose to get it off. I have not removed one from the trans on the truck, looks like it will be a bear!!!!
